15 mpg unloaded (usually 50/50 hwy and city, 70-75 mph on the hwy)
11 mpg pulling an 18' open car hauler and 3400 lb car.

By comparison, my previous two Dodges (5.9L) saw 17.6 unloaded, 14.3 towing.

Anyone want to buy an '08 Duramax with 6K miles on it?

I wouldn't expect to get any better gas mileage with a gas truck than what your current truck is getting. I know my Avalanche averaged 14-15mpg all the time.

Our '07 GMC 5.3L got 17.2 mpg avg. My '07 Escalade 6.2L AWD averaged 15.1 mpg

Plus, 87 octane is much less than diesel.

My truck with lots of extra weight (electric steps, audio system, 20s/35s, etc.) gets ~15 mpg mixed and has gotten a best of 20 on the highway. I'd say that's pretty good considering the weight.

Nine Ball, if it was only white or silver. I could never own a dark colored 4 door truck. It takes me 2 hours for a simple wash and dry on my truck.

Mine gets about 18.7 on the highway but I use 93 octane only so it's not so bad. I'm not planning on pulling anything with it so I'm happy with it.

First gear does nothing but spin the rear tires so it's a fun truck as well.

Did you have it tuned? If so who did it. I have a 07 6.0 that needs a tune. I wish the Denali would have come out a couple of months earlier than they did so I could have gotten one of them instead.
