I think of of the biggest keys in avoiding the law is try and fly under the radar so to speak. The front plate is the biggest thing and try to keep the exhaust down to a reasonable level. When I had my car I never got bothered about the headers. But for some reason my magnflow catback and the cam I had was stupid loud. I changed the tips out to the magnflow oval tips that look like the oem ws6 tips and it helped a bunch. I never got any tickets just pulled over a lot around college station. Once I got out of town with the car dps nobody else ever gave me a second look.

Four years now here. Never had trouble with anybody when the car had lt's, ory, and cutout. I put in a cam and changed to straight through ovals clamped to the collectors and have had one warning for the exhaust.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I bet my truck is just as loud as my car when I stand on it, and I have yet to be bothered in it. Knock on wood.

I was at a year and pulled over MANY times and never ever even asked about it...

Until they passed it before doing the visual but couldn't go back... "Your car, its illegal as hell"

hahaha
