Engineer??? or Designer????

Either way if he's been in the business for over 25 years...I'm sure that he already knows the places to work.

A quick internet search would yield about 10K openings

Where is he located? If your really looking for answers that would be a good thing to mention.

Yah im sorry just threw that up real quick.

Senior Designer position would be ideal in the Houston or surrounding areas.

and yes your right he does know the pros and cons of most of the companies out there and knows at least one person at most firms but apparently the field is pretty flat right now from what hes telling me. I am not in the field so I do not personally know.

He got use to making some good money and doesn't wanna take a pay cut just yet. His last company brought him on to clean up there public works dept. he did it in 2 years and then they said Thanks and Bye.

He knows most of the CAD programs and microstation.

Whats a civil engineer making more or less in the Houston area? My dad is a licensed land surveyor down here in South Texas (what im going for) but if i take a few more classes I can get a civil engineer license also. Just wondering if it's worth the extra time. Thanks guys.
