I work for at&t and I cant tell you how many people port over from cricket. Yeah its cheap but you get no service anywhere.
As for the Cingular>at&t switch that was the biggest mistake for cingular to change their name! Cingular ought out at&t wireless over 2 years ago! And the DAY we switch over the NAMES NOT THE SERVICE I have heard nothing but people saying ever since at&t took over the service sucks (actually guy in store yelling JUST said that. lol). The name change gave something for people to complain about everything stayed the same. LOL. Oh well.
What kind of phone do you have now?

neodamonkey, it's the Samsung Sync (A707 I believe). I love the phone, don't get me wrong, has everything I want/need it to do. Speaker phone, 2.0mp camera, video record, flip phone, etc. If I could get a new replacement for it, I would, but they don't make them anymore.
-Ross-, I was going to mention the same thing. I was getting tired of receiving the huge paper bills and requested online billing only. I can do the same thing online and save paper.

How does the LG Vu compare to the iPhone?
neodamonkey, which store?
The LG CU515 I wouldn't consider, the Samsung SLM looks good. I'll have to go into the AT&T store down the road and see them in person to make a decision, that's if I stay with AT&T.

CNet.com has some pretty good mobile phone reviews. Although I was wanting to like the new iphone, the lack of some pretty basic things that most cheap cell phones have haven't been incorporated in the 2nd gen iphone, even though they knew about them from the first version....not addressing what the consumer wants & adding the simple features offered on just about every other phone on the 2nd version of the phone is just lame, that and itunes store will have total control over what you put on your phone is just lame....and no memory card slot?
