Default New 1/4 mile track in Dallas/crandelle

It is almost ready for us.. LOL
They have their website online finally. And when I seen the track 2 weeks ago, it is looking like they are making some good progress..

Sanctioned by IHRA

http://www.dallasraceway.com/

Should be fun.. Plus it is on my side of town.... LOL

Yeah, the website has been up for a while now. I wish they would hurry up and get the track ready.

It will save me about 25 miles round trip. I hope they have better track prep than Ennis.

I can't believe that I've lived here in the Terrell/Forney area this long and never knew about this.

I just talked to a couple of friends of mine (Forney PD and at the paper mill), they inform me that whoever has been building this track has been doing so for about 4 years now.

......in other words......don't hold your breath on anything soon.

It has been going on for a while now, but they have had issues with getting it sanctioned from what I heard. I heard that only this year they finally got covered from IHRA and that was reason for the go ahead to finish the track.

I guess they never had sanctioning before and that is why they did not finish the track.

We shall see I guess

Ennis has been so slow on Friday nights and hurting financially so they have done away with all Friday night racing for the remainder of the year. Have you been to K-dale? It's about the same distance as the Motorplex from your home. I too want to check out the new track when it opens

That's true Marcus

It's been so slow you could practically hotlap all night, not to mention free nitrous, and I'm just getting my DP system plumbed now. I am hoping that when they open in Feburary for 2008 they will again host Friday nights.

10 minute drive for me is hard to beat, not to mention getting in free most of the time

I would go to Kennedale if I wanted to run 1/8. For that matter, I would probably go back to Denton since they're closer and under new management. To me, 1/8 is a waste of my time.
