Wow. Big news on McGee. Jon, who would you prefer at QB for the Ags if McGee were still healthy?

i want to see mcgee more in shermans system...he did terrible in the ASU game, he scrambled like a chicken with its head cut off. To be taken out in the first half of the game yesterday didn't really help with seeing if he learned anything new in the system.

Johnson as of now, is better adjusted...but he still doesn't have the experience or leadership that mcgee has. But if mcgee doesn't have the actions to back up his words, he's a lame duck...thus time to move on.

So at this point i'm torn, i don't want to be a person that screams for Mcgee's head b/c of 1 bad game, plenty of QB's have 1 bad game a season, and there are alot of circumstances surrounding it about why he sucked last week.

I was reading texags(its a bad choice of material) but the point i read, was that since Bucky Richards, Texas A&M has always favored the back-up QB over the starting...Happened to McNeal, and now its happening to McGee.

so to sum it up, i don't know who i'd prefer.

Wasn't McGee recruited for his arm coming out of HS? A new system can be difficult to learn especially when the play calling terminology is not what you have used before (Words as opposed to numbers).

At any rate, this is a great chance for JJ to get in there and show what he can do.

McGee was recruited for his arm...he has school and i believe state records in high school for his throwing. So he was recruited for his arm. Ever since the OU game two years ago in norman, where reggie got hurt, fran saw him running it head first into the pile and had him doing it since that point. So he has pretty much wasted away his throwing arm.

Well, that's definitely one way to get past a defender...

Well....the info i got 2 weeks ago was wrong towards mcgee, 2 weeks ago the story was he was supposed to undergo surgery to fix the injury. So there's a very good chance he'll be starting today....he isn't 100% healthy.

Johnson had a 60 yard TD pass to Goodson on the first play of the game

This game got bad for the Ags in a hurry. Jerrod has alot of growing to do at qb.

The ND / Michigan State game isn't really entertaining even though it's close. Apparently Mich can't pass or run the ball in the redzone...
