I think the power finally gave in here (Katy). Been going on/off every minute or so for the past hour or two, but it's been off for a few minutes now and I don't think it's coming back.

 

If ike had an *** I'd kick it. I'm at my house in deer park and it's pretty bad over here. I'm on my iPhone because we've been w/out power since 11pm yesterday. Be safe everyone!

winds are picking up here in East Texas and we're supposed to get what's left of it around 4pm. Nothing as bad as everyone else.

Spoke to my family in Tomball this morning and she says there is no power in all of houston area

 

How is the area of Pearland looking off 288/518? My wife and I decided to head up north. Anyone know if that area lost power or flooded?

Anybody know what The Woodlands area is looking like right now? I have family there and the phone and cell lines are all down. I'm sure they are fine, just wondering how bad the area got it.

 

Looks like Ike is pulling a Rita on us. We've had a few sprinkles and a little breeze. As of yesterday they projected the path to come right over the top of us, but with its eastward bend, we got squat. Not even any rain to speak of here. That still hasn't stopped the Flying J Truck stop from selling gas at $4.75/gal! (while it's $3.65 at my local grocery store right now).

I'm going outside and working in my shop.

 

Any word out of the Conroe area? I've got family up there and can't get through to them.

 

I just talked to my dad in Conroe (just now), it's windy/rainy, been without power since 2:30AM. They're still in it.
