Yep. Looks like I am getting the next few days off so that we dont get stuck on the island during evacuation traffic. We didnt have anyone come here in the store (att) today besides a few people buying car chargers and trying to get phones fixed. There are a bunch of news crews sitting on the seawall doing their broadcast, one of our employees went out to bug them and ask them questions lol.

Mandatory evacuations have been issued for all of Brazoria County starting at 8:00AM tomorrow, so the wife and I are going to spend the night at home, check the reports in the morning, and then either head to my parents' place a little north of here, or head up to Austin if it looks like it's going to hit Houston.

Stay safe, everyone!

I'm worried that my garage could flood and get to my car. Anyone have any experiences with storing your car in heavy rain?

Trouble is, the storm looks like it might head that way, so even if it misses Houston, Austin might not be the best place to be.

Damn, I was really craving Pluckers, too.

Brazoria County evacuations with the exception of Alvin and Pearland.

We boarded up and will leave but will only be going out to the wife's families house in Iowa Colony. I will go get my son from League City tomorrow morning from his mom's house.

Everyone stay safe and good luck.

only advice i could give you is to put the car up on a set of truck/suv jack stands. only other option is to park in a above ground parking garage.

Ive been through a Cat 2 and will not ride out anything higher then that. Its freakin unreal the amount of power they have. If you have any family or friends that like 3-4 hours inland make it to them. Seriously.

Ben we will be riding out the storm at Wee's house. Its gonna be fun. And TJ's is right around the corner. You know the power isnt going down there.
