Tony, I'm glad that you and Lisa faired well. Thank goodness your "babies" didn't sustain any damage either. Hopefully you guys will get your power back on shortly.

We were extremely lucky. No damage whatsoever. The power went out 11pm on Friday and came back on around 6pm Sunday. But we had a generator, so it wasn't that bad. I did take a little drive to make groceries though. My little one and I took a drive to Brenham on Tuesday. It was like a typical Saturday at the grocer. And it was worth the drive for the peace of mind of getting fresh meats and dairy products.

Hi Tony,
Glad and yours made it through as well as you did. I left Kemah and drove up to Mississippi to my wife's daughters house but left my WS6 in the garage.Somehow, parts of Kemah Oaks subdivision made it through while others did not. My place only lost some shingles and some of the fence is down. No flooding. Other houses only a couple of blocks away lost their roofs. How it did not flood is beyond me. Can't wait to get back home and crank up my old car. The overall effects of Ike are hard to take in.

I lost two cars, and everything on the first floor of the house. The water was over my air hockey table that I just got oh... two months ago maybe. Ping pong table collapsed on itself, and the tools I don't want to think about. Water got into the closed garage and knocked over the fridge, and the deep freeze, motorcycle was covered in water, etc.

Second floor is golden however, no broken windows, no limbs in the yard, nothing major... just a helluva lot of water damage.

Good to hear everyone made it through okay. Thats wild on the storage shelter.

Hell, it was 1mph away from a cat 3 storm, so I'd call it a cat 3 in my book. The worst thing about Ike was its size, it was a ******* monster.

Yep, and just think hurricane season still has 4-6 weeks left. I'm currently not tracking anything so we are good for now.

I have one. I use it to keep the fridge cold, charge batteries, and to run some fans. We still do not have a dial tone or cable/internet at home.
