We still don't have power, and from what my neighbor says they have not even started to repair our lines. It destoyed our poles, lines and alot of other stuff. I had to leave and come to Baton Rouge due to my grandfather's health, but I'll be back tomorrow night. Here's a pick of my road, waterway @ that time from the site Tony posted.

I know some people at Nuno's but I work at Friends, been there for about 3 years. Used to be a manager but I just work on the weekends now. Went back to a 9 to 5. As for the SS most of the time I drive my truck but if I bring it, she gets parked in a parking garage. Still to this date if I meet anyone there that drives an F-body they get my employee discount. I was talking to Eric Tessmer and I think he'll be playing once a week again at friends. If you ever drop by just ask for Ross.

The morning after the hurricane looking out the back window. Winds were around 50 MPH.
The debris line behind my neighbors house. We had about 5-8 more feet until it was in our house. The water is still 10ft above normal in these pictures, and we don't normally have 4 ft swells in the bay.
The day after the hurricane we had a rainstorm that went from midnight to noon (12 + hrs) that is when we got water in from our damaged shingles. Here is a view of the street outside.

I'm actually suprised about you Dennis. The North side of 10 going in Mt. Belvieu had power 4 days ago. We had 1/2 mile of down lines, and a lot of broken poles. So I am actually shocked we got power this quick.

Lots of trees down, on and through roofs in my neighborhood. We got all services back Tuesday last week, but our office only just got back up this morning. Several in my office and several friends still without power. We were very lucky. Our largest trees did not come down, and the one that did fell along the side of the house. Had those others come down in the same direction, our master bedroom would've been crushed.
I spent the weekend helping a friend who owns a beach house in Surfside. We fish there all the time. It was sad to see all the sites we frequented in ruins (like Kitty's Purple Cow). What a mess. All our favorite bait houses were practically destroyed. One was already in the process of rebuilding. His house survived, thankfully. He lost his storage below and everything in it including the washer/dryer and water heater. It took us several hours to haul and pile up all the debris.
This was my first hurricane experience. Not fun.

A few more pics....
The floating marina (right off the Fred Hartman Bridge@ 146) near my house only had 8 ft of pole out of the water. The storm surge was 20 ft. It picked up the dock, and all the boats moored at the dock as one unit, and floated them into the parking lot and set them down.
The neighborhod near me under construction. Every house being framed looked like this...
My buddy Jim's house. A big oak tree fell over into the house and took out the roof, and the main beam.
My in-laws yard. About 2 acres of debris to clear. 9 large oak trees. It took me about a week to clear an acre. The lion's share of it was getting all the leaves raked up, and getting them to a burn pile in the back yard. Man what I would have done for a mulcher to pick it up and mulch it...
