yard sale. Seen me through 5 motors took apart and
three put back together
(from Fiat 4cyl to big block Buicks). Hopefully will never need to have an
aluminum block on it....
If it's got those adjustable spider legs on it and will
hold a small block Chebby, it'll have no problem with
an LS-1.
One with 4 wheels is a little more accident-proof than
the more common 3-wheel ones.
tera I think I am going to go with the one you pointed out. I was looking at a similiar one over at harbor freight.
What size bolts do you guys use to hold the block on the stand? Where do you thread the bolts to on the block?
I also have a picture where you can see how it’s mounted more or less. I can email it to you it you like.

The LS1's take a M10 x 1.50 threaded bolt I believe. I get mine from NAPA and I *think* they are 55mm in length... *~*~GRADE8~*~* But the length will depend on the engine stand you use. It's always best to have a longer bolt and lots of washers than a bolt that only gives you 2 threads of contact....
