I've got a lincoln 135amp. I hear the internal parts are almost identical between the name brands on these. I'm happy with mine so far.

I love miller, I have a millermatic 175 basically the same as the 135 but runs off 220 vac, and I know what you mean it makes me actually know what I am doing

The only real differences I could see was the wire feed mechanism.

The Miller is made mostly from metal parts. If I recall, the Hobart had some metal, but used a lot of plastic.

Hey I just got a Millermatic 135 too! I haven't used it yet, but am going to today to weld in fittings into my rear end cover for my diff cooler.

gotta love the miller 135, got one at work and I look for broken things just so I can fire it up.

The 135 will do up to 3/16 and the 175 will do 1/4 is the main difference I got the 175 so I could do bigger jobs, I wish I would have gotten the 210, its easy to make a bigger welder work on smaller jobs, but you cant make a small welder work on big jobs Word of advice to anyone buying a welder buy the Biggest you can afford

I already have a stick welder, so big stuff is not a problem.

It's the small stuff that I was having to farm out ....

Same here. I even break things so I can redo them a little better....

But, Mitch, my Hobart does have plastic in the internal feed. I know what your talking about.
