Default So I just ordered a Max Jax !!!

Just like the title says, Just ordered a Dannmar Max Jax.

Anyone else have one of these? Looks like a great lift. I chose it because I have a 2 car garage that will need to store 2 cars also in the winter, this way its not in the way when I dont use it.

First project will be to pull the motor and take a look at the bearings to see whats going on with my oil pressure.

I checked around various places, all were with in $50 of eachother. There is a $135 fee for a liftgate truck, $40 for a residential delivery. So I paid $2400. I figured it will pay for itself in about 2 years of repairs. This year alone when I didnt have a garage I shelled out $2000 for repairs which would have cost me $600 on a lift.

You will love having a lift in your home garage. I must say having one in mine has more than paid for itself. The jack stands live out in the garden shed now. You do get spoiled tho. I don't want to do anything without the lift.

I have pretty much wanted one for about 10 years, just got a new house with a 2 car, the motor problems kinda put things into perspective as it costs so much to have people work on it. It would be around $4000 to have someone fix the motor, new bearings and put it back together, this is from a sponsor.

And it is a lot more fun to do it yourself and you will learn a lot along the way. Post pics when you get it installed. I have heard good things about them.

you are nuts if you think it will take two years for it to pay for itself. i dont know about you, but i work on all my buddies cars for free and my lift was worth it on the second ring and pinion swap. F*CK laying on your back. i am spoiled as sh*t now. you'll find a lot more "friends" that will want to use it. oh well sure you'll love it.

Aren't those very expensive? Also, don't you think your going to need a nice big garage to put the max in their because I feel like it'll be damaged in the rain, just saying.

it will be stored inside and used indoors. It wasnt too expensive seeing how much shops charge, it will pay for itself pretty quick.

Well I finally was able to get the lift installed. Rented a rotary hammer and drilled the holes. It took a couple hours to drill and set the anchors.

So far I like it, its a little scary when its 48" high but I will get used to it. As you can see from the pics i had my garage door raised about 2 feet to put it up on the ceiling and I moved my lights and corded outlet out of the way. I have 10 ft ceilings. I could have went taller but I wanted it to be portable and there isnt anything out there.

This will come in handy as I need to take my engine out to do oil pressure problems.

Nice that you bought a lift instead of paying someone to fix the car. That's what I would have done too.

Extremely jealous. That seems about perfect for a small two car garage.

Ive had people work on my car, one time they didnt adjust the wheel cylinders up so i had no back brakes when I drove away, the next time they didnt do new brake lines all the way up to the master, only half way. Im sick of people screwing up my car.

So I started working on the car today removing the engine from the bottom, worked on it about 2 hrs and now wondering why I didnt by a lift sooner. Its so much easier. I just sit there, look up and start removing everything, tons of light under there so you can see.

I have had the Maxjax for about a year now. I have done a ton of work with it... including putting a 5000lb SUV on it. I absolutely love it!

It was well worth the money, I mean to not be stuck with 2" of headroom and trying to find tools under your axx is priceless. Its fun to work on the car.
