Default Snap-N-Half Tools - prices?

Do they sell these through the web or only in the big white and red truck that never comes to my house?

I may pick up some chrome plated and polished wrenches soon and I would consider these or the Huskys.

Do they still cost like $35 bucks for a single wrench?

If you have that attitude toward a good company you might as well just stick with the chinese made husky tools you suggested. Anyone who actually buys something from snap on appreciates it, they are professional tools.

www.snapon.com will ship to your house but i've only ever bought off the truck that in some cases has better prices.

LOL Husky tools suck. I'd go with craftsmen over that junk. I agree with the above, anyone who buys Snap On, appreciates them.

I jsut got myself a new set of Snap On Flank drive Plus wrenches, for only 285. That's a deal if you ask me..

Just buy Craftsman, if it breaks just exchange it for free...Snap-on is way overpriced(like Harleys)..Garages and mechanics can write that high priced Snap-on stuff off on their taxes, you can't ..I seem to remember a while ago that you used to be able to go right to the Snap-on factory and buy tools for a somewhat less expensive price but the guys in the trucks started screaming and they stopped it

The Snap On tools I have are easily the best tools I have ever used.

You can order them online but you can get them cheaper if off the truck if you buy regularly and have a decent attitude. You might just want to get them online Robert

As for the Snap N Half name. I have never broken a Snap on tool when it was being used for it's intended purpose. Not to say it can't be done but I have not.

I have a combination of Craftsman, MAC, and Snap-on tools. Mostly due to the fact that I cant afford to buy all Snap-on. I didn't have too good luck with Husky and would buy S&K or Proto before I would try Husky again.

Most Home Depo stores around me carry a very small selection of Husky Tools these days.....I think this brand is sucking wind. I would not be surprised if they dropped these guys for Stanley or another cheaper brand....

Hell, I can't even find a decent selection of Husky tool boxes at the Depo store any more.... Consequently, I had to by a Sears tool box the other day - it kinda sucks - I'm disappointed with the lack of quality form the Craftsmutt folks...

Their air compressor seems to be holding its own, however....

Husky is not a bad brand.

I work for Home Depot, they are geting rid of their large husky sets in regular, and they are going to a pro series, it is basically the same but is a blackchromate finish. they look bad ***, my store already has them.

dont know if they work any better, but they sure are perty.

I buy husky simply casue I can get em cheap and often

the chrome plated wrenches are really nice but I can only find the small sets in the Depo strores in my area (3 places???). They used to carry the bigger sets with about 20 pieces each for around $80.... They also discountinued the big tool sets with the 300 or so pieces....

I think Depo will DUMP Husky soon....

Huskys arn't too bad, I wouldn't compare them to snap on though not even in the same league.

Their are alway GM's branded Mr. Goodwrench wrench set that consists of three size crecent wrenchs in a set. I saw that at sears and shook my head, what a waste and demining the name goodwrench. They had a chance to put their name on something worthwhile cept they put it on some cheap mexican made crap like always.

There is no secret to tools. I have a mix of Snap On, Craftsmen, Husky, Mac, Blackhawk, Bonney, and many others.

There are certain Snap On items that no mechanic should live without. Snap On and some MAc ratchets are awesome and much better than the lower brands. However..craftsmen sockets and other items are nearly as good and dont cost an arm and a leg.
Craftsmen still has the best return policy. MAC and Snap On have become VERY stingy on there lifetime warranty lately...especially certain truck owners.
I think to just buy strictly Snap On due to brand is somewhat a waste of money.
BTW...Im an airplane/helo mech for 16 years.

At the very least go with Craftsman, I work in Industrial Maintenance and we use Craftsman, Snap-On, and Proto. you'll be happy with any of these.
