AC floor jack Who's got one of these bad boys? How do you like it and what model do you have? Lastly, how much did you pay and where did you get it? If there's any interest I might try and get a group buy set-up somewhere

I have an AC jack. I really like it a lot. If you are looking to buy a new jack stop searching because the AC is the best jack you will find that will fit under just about any car. It is low enough to fit under my T/A that has the SLP level 2 suspension kit. Actually it will fit all the way under the car with almost 2" of extra clearance. I had the $200 Craftsman racing jack and it wouldn't fit all the way underneath. I could go on but I think you get the point. I have the DK20 model and it was $259 plus $15 for the rubber pad. Well after some web searching it looks like the GP thing ain't gonna happen ( I found a AC jack GP that failed) too much work for only a few dollars savings. asedeals.com has them on sale right now anyway for 399.00 shipped for the DK13HLQ. I all found the jack at All Tire Supply for 369.00 not including shipping, but there in texas and at close to 100 lbs shipping is gonna pricey. Dope, asedeals is in CT so you could probably save some money by picking it up yourself and you could probably try it out first hand before buying.
I hoping to be able to reach the K-member and pick the front end up in one shot.

I was going to get the DK13HLQ at first but it is only rated at 2900lbs. The DK20 is rated at 4400lbs. I know 2900lbs is plenty for the T/A but I wanted to be able to use it on anything. Also the DK20 will reach the K member easily.

P.S. I'm also lowered about 1 1/2 inches

Yes it will reach. If you would like I can take some pics for you. I am not trying to stear you away from the DK13HLQ at all though. I just felt my money was better spent on a jack that was rated with higher weight limit.

My Trans am is lowered 2" and I bought the AC DK20 jack. As with all jacks on F-bodys you have to put the jack in on a angle(air dam)(lifting front) by the tires. I was going to buy the alum. harbour freight jack($99) but I found out that they like to break. Great jack, I will do the hockey puck mod. soon.RLTW

I have had the DK13HLQ since 1998 and it works flawlessly.
2900lbs is plenty of jack to raise anything other than a big heavy PU truck. I can jack my '93 Bronco and my GMC HD with it. No problems.
The foot lift is rarely used.
I can easily reach the K-member or the diff on my Trans AM, lowered with G2 Super Springs. You won't have much handle throw, but it will reach.
I use the 30" of lift quite often.
It is heavy and not very manuevarable. But it's a bad-*** jack.

$800 is way more than I paid a few years ago when I got mine, but it was definitely over $300. If I ever needed to replace it, I'd probably try to find a less expensive one, but wouldn't want to compromise on the quality. I had only used shitty hydraulic jacks up until that point, and I'll never go back.
