Default GM LS1 Flywheel Lock Tool

Does anyone have or know where to get the GM LS1 flywheel locking tool? It bolts to the where starter goes and locks the flywheel in place. I need to asap.

TIA,
Keith

Yep, the only place you'll probrably find it is from Kent Moore themselves, unless you know a GM tech that will lend/rent/or sell you one. I think when I asked they where $85. If your really in a bind, stick a punch in the flywheel.

There is a tool that fits in the 3 spokes on the stock pully that will give you leverage? Is this not what you are talking about?

I sell these for $40 (with permission from this site) It comes with 2 pins to hold the stock pulley & 3 bolts to hold the ASP pulley. It is much quicker/easier.

code4, that's a good idea, kinda like holding the crank bal. on hondas when doing timingbelt changes(winter cars); can the tool be used on the stock c5/f-body bal.?

Yes I send them out with two removable large pins that hold against the webbing of the stock pulley.

you should put a little hook on the end of the pins so they won't slip off when used with stock pulley.

PM who the OP? Don't have time to wait on someone that might not be still be on here. Like you said, it has been 6 years. And i needed an answer quick, from ANYONE that knew if he was still making /selling them.

Why did I post in this THIS thread? Because i used search instead of cluttering the forum with yet another duplicate thread/question.

Thanks for the useless comment.

Did the need for this tool change in 6 years?

Will the information in the thread potentially benefit people besides the OP?

What benefit is there in 8 threads w/ the same information spread around like manure rather than it all contained in 1?
