Default #8 spark plug...out and back in...5 minutes..FOUND IT, HOME DEPOT

Maybe some of you have this tool, I know some don't because of how much bitching goes on about this plug. I found a tool in my stepfathers garage that simply works perfectly like it was made to deal with that little bastard.

I'm anything but a mechanic and I had the passenger side done in about 15-20 minutes.

Literally took 4-5 minutes to take it out and put the new one back in, effortlessly. This tool incorporates the 1-inch extension needed to get the plug out, plus the head of the driver can be set at any angle to go right over the plug and snap onto the spark plug socket that is on the plug waiting for the tool.

Makes the other plug next to the #8 pluig come out like butter too.

Hope this helps some of you guys.

I have no hatred towards that plug anymore

EDIT: I found it:
Home Depot
Husky Pro Indexable Ratchet
$14.99

Proto is the maker and my stepfather said its called an "adjustable ratchet".

I think thats it.

I'm gonna go to Home Depot today to try and find one, if there's a different industry name I'll let you know.

Wow! That's great to hear. I've not seen an adjustable ratchet that adjusts from side to side like that. I have an adjustable 3/8" drive ratchet, but the head swivels up and down. I used a regular shorty ratchet to get to mine a few years ago, and that was from underneath the car with the exhaust manifolds removed

With my coil packs off, #8 gets replaced in about 2 minutes with a shorty ratchet from the top.

There she blows.....mine is a 3/8" driver actually.

I'll post the price of this tool from Home Depot later on if they have them. My stepfather said he thinks he paid $20.00, but it was a long time ago and he has about 2,000 different tools.

I've gotta go get a few more things today, so I'm gonna hit up the tool section and see if I can find one of those too.
