go to home depot they have all the stuff you need to make an extension cord but it'll probably cost you more than 45 bucks so if brains can hook you up definately do it

Welding depot.com I got welder, regulator, auto darkening helmet, and a small 20 cu./ft. empty tank for $496 shipped to my door .
I will probably burn through a ton of No Gas wire practicing. Then buy some gas and try my hand at fabing up my own exhaust system .

I bought a Hobart 180 and it seems to work well for me. I think the 180 was discontinued but they now have a 175 I think. I don't know if it is capable of 1/4" welding but it is a good welder I have been told by a-lot of people around here. Just my input. May look at Hobart I guess, see what they have.

just learning and using a 110v welder is kind of a pain. a 110v welder has to be set so perfect. Ive used a few and i think they suck. They are a pain in the *** even for the most proffesional welder to use. Get a 220v one. it is so worth it, and you will learn much faster and it will be so much easier to use.
