Even Better Than The Indexible Head Ratchet!!! there is a big fuss over the indexible head ratchet for changing spark plugs. i was all about it and even bought it. but then, today in wallmart, i found a "rotating ratchet" by stanley. intead of actually ratcheting it forward and back, all you have to do is stick it on the bolt or plug, and twist the handle. the part number is 89-962. ill see if i can get some pics up. its incredible!! hope it can work well for you guys!!

Husky has one at Home Depot, search for this and you'll get it : "HUSKYPRO

That same ratchet is also marketed under the Blackhwak brand. Stanley, Husky and Blackhawk are all part of the Stanley group. I would amazed if there are any differences in these ratchets. That said, I gotta get one.... if just for the "unique and cool" factor.

yeah man you do. its incredible. i just sit around and twist it when im not using it. kinda rediculous i know but im still in the amazement phase of my new toy.

i cant put pics up cause it tells me they are too big but it looks just like a standard ratchet. there is no difference at all except the grip is a little better. anyway, i kinda thought about that too but if you have smeared the anti-seize on them they will come right out.

I havent seen one of these yet, but from the sound of the description it wouldnt be any better than a ratchet with an extention and a universal. But maybe Im figuring it wrong.

well with a universal, you still need to ratchet it back and fourth. if there is not a lot of room and it is a tight squeeze, this tool eliminates the need to make any large movements. all you need to do is twist the handle. plus the universals sometimes get caught on themselves of the angle isnt right.
