Got to say I'm jealous of you guys that don't live in big cities. I just built a new garage with a 2 post lift. Chicago only allows 600sqft so its tight in there once i got my tools,trans jack,ect.

A law that dictates how big your garage can be? Terrible!! I suppose the town I grew up in had a law that the garage couldn't be bigger than the house unless your lot was over an acre.

The law in clark county (las vegas NV) now is your garage cant be bigger than HALF your house. I built before it was passed, which sucked for my neighbor because he didn't. My garage is 3200....2 lifts....etc etc, and my house is 1200. His house is like 950 ft....and he has heavy equipment (1 acre lots) but he cant build a garage bigger then a two car.
Hes been in trouble with county for having stuff outside.....by the tract home neighbors near by.
