Default My shop

My home shop, built it in 2004. I would have finished the inside if I didn't have an addiction to Hot Rodding/Racing. My advice if you are building one. Don't start loading it up with junk until you completely finish it, interior and all!~

I finally knocked a wall out of my garage. The extra space is amazing.

I was excited about my new house and new garage but it's super small compared to some people's...This is a great thread for ideas too though...When I go home on leave in May from Iraq I'll try to remember to get some of mine...Anyone have a polished terazzo style concrete floor in their garage/shop????From what I've read it's better than having it professionally epoxied...

We are getting our shop in order. My dad and I just went in together on a bunch of equipment. Now its just a matter of getting it all moved around.

2 of the 5 tables. The tool boxes between the mill and lathe are full of all the tooling and dies for them.

the big mig, stick and plasma cutter

the tig and cool cart.

the lathe. It is around 40"

the mill

the band saw

the horizontal saw and 30" sander

4' x 10' layout table. 1/2" thick. and small fork lift.

more tables

Thanks, we still have more stuff to move in. Hopefully this weekend we can get the metal rack and all the metal in, the twin head drill press and large forklift.

Damn some of these garages are insane! Wish I had money like that to have my own little shop in my backyard. We are trying to close on a house soon so if all goes well then my first house will also consist of my first garage as well. I had to get something with at least a one car. But turns out this house we are trying to get is a 2 and a half. Can't wait!

AFASTYZFR1, how wide is your garage? Can you open both car doors, cars that are side by side, without them touching?

Yea, I can open car doors when they are side by side, but it's really close so I don't do it often. Sorry can't remember how wide it is, but maybe 30-40ft

I am going to be adding a 24x30 garage at the house I just bought. It doesn't have a garage so I have to add one. Uncle sams housing credit is funding it.

I dont even want to post a pic of mine, its nothing in comparison. Just imagine small, cramped, covered in crap, floor peeling, etc.

So quick question for anyone with a cinderblock'd garage... did you guys drywall over it or just leave it as is? I need some ideas for mine!
