The balancer has three bolt holes in a triangulated pattern for a harmonic balancer puller, watch those autozone rental tools, they are inferior quality. Get a good one and make sure the bolts are grade 8 or better, i toss my bolts after each use. I also tap the the balancer bolt holes before and after pulling it. I know its overkill but I am **** about thoroughness. I know you didnt ask this, but be sure to use the kent moore install tool to put the balancer back on, ripping the crank snout threads out with a bolt will cause you hell.

A puller like this is what you want. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=37824
Also the holes are not metric. They are SAE UNF 5/16-24.

Kent Moore has a web site but it is nothing more than a cover page, they do their selling by phone, search this web site for the tool part#s, they are all there.
The tool is actually four pieces, three different part numbers.
J 41816-2 Crankshaft End Protector
J 41665-1 Crankshaft balancer and sprocket installer
J 41665-2
