Default Tools I Love

Four tools I love....

My hydraulic 12ton press:
What a $$$ saver. I've probably saved it's value 3 fold in petty machine shop labor costs. Gone are the days of beating bushing and bearings with socket combos.

Racheting box wrenches:
Wow, here is my number one hand tool. These are expensive but make short work of painstaking tight clearance bolt removal and installs. I love them.

Air impact gun:
If you work on cars regularly and you don't have one.... shame on you. Busted knuckles on tight bolts are a thing of the past.

12" Digital inside/outside Caliper: I love this thing. I find myself using it all the time when building/assembling engines or fabbing anything. It's repeatable, accurate, and fast to read.

Those are my favorite tools.... What are your's?

Gear wrenches. Both racheting and box end. Some of the best tools ever.

I have 3 tools that are now competing for my top spot.

1) Hitachi 4 1/2" Angle Grinder (lots of noise and lots of sparks, how can you not love it?)
2) DeWalt Recpirocating Saw (SawZall wanna be, but it does its job with much fun)
3) Kawasaki KHT600S Hedge Trimmer (link here). Cuts through my monster hedge like a frickin' light saber. I went Jedi Knight on the bushes last weekend, and I frickin' kicked their asses.

As most have said

Gear Wrenches
Impact Gun
Transmission adapter for Floor Jack (cant justify a Tranny jack taking up that much space)
Custom Low Profile Ramps for driving onto, then using jack from there (my jack doesnt go that lowwww)

Well, a tool is classified as something you use to get the job done, correct?
My favorite tool would have to be Molson Canadian.

-- On a more serious note,
Air gun (compressor), Welder, and Car lift to name a few.

I'm surprised noone mentioned 3/8 air RATCHET, for those lazier days that sitting there holding a trigger down is better than spinning a hand tool.
