guys it looks real good in person just wait till hes finished this is his wifes car and she gets what she wants. im not a fan of the whole chopping of the camaro but in person it is top notch.

Oh yeah, have you run into any clearance problems with the torque arm? According to my calculations the arm should hit the parking brake cables. A custom torque arm may be the easiest fix for this. I also doubt you'll be able to have the exhaust go over the axle, will you go under it or just dump it before the axle?

yes the TA does hit the floor and so does the center chunk on the rear end
i just cut the floor and going 2 raise the tunnel some
no space for the exhaust over like you said
it going 2 go under with a lil spot that un clamps si can drop the rear end if needed
when i get home from work 2day i will take some pics 4 u

I have a pretty good handle on all the mods to do the rear (I'd like to hear more on that custom gas tank, though) it's really the front that is the hard part.
I think I have the shock and air bag part figured out. I suppose I could clearance the upper A-arms like you did instead of using a drop spindle.
Would you use a 2" drop spindle if you had to do it over again?
The only real tricky part is the structural stuff around the front fenders. Do you think yours is built strongly enough?
If you have any pics of the seperate shocks and air bags up front that would be cool as well. I thought about that, but just did not see any room for it.
People thought I was crazy for even mentioning all this work just to get the car a little lower, but hell, it can be low, handle great and still ride nice. I get my cake and eat it too.

i was looking for a drop spindle but didnt see one
it would make it alot easier
the lower arm can only travel so much with that rear bushing the way it is
so i stepped the a-arm and yes it will hold an alignment i have a caster camber gauge that i set every thing with
i think the tub work in the front is just as strong if not stronger than stock
i still have a few braces 2 put in

Badass man. I was thinking a custom torque arm would be easier than raising the tunnel.

I knew I couldn't get a shock on the front side of the A-arm due to the sway bar, but the back didn't have much room either. Here is a pic from under the car looking straight up with the wheel turned all the way.
I didn't think there was room for a shock. Does your shock tuck inside the rim or did you reduce the steering travel to keep from rubbing the tire?

A company named Racecraft Inc. will be releasing a drop spindle soon for $500, but it uses 3rd gen brakes and is for drag racing mostly. There is also one out now from Pa Racing for $550, but the pics are not working so I can't get much info on them. Here is the thread.
