They don't want people joining just for the purpose of selling their crap. They want members to contribute to the community.

This site has had scammers steal 10's of thousands (if not more) from hard working members. If you don't understand a simple rule such as this, then I guess it's irrelevant if you understand.

But hey...that's from one member to another. Just my 2 cents.

Your thread here is like numerous others like it that have been posted in this https://ls1tech.com/forums/user-support-resources-52/ .

it does suck but it has good reasoning behind it. all the other local forums for ls1s around me are all pay sites.

I was a bit surprised by the 6 month 50 post rule too, but it doesn't surprise me that scammers ruin everything for everybody. Other sites that charge fees are not immune to scammers either. Paying a $25-$100 fee doesn't matter when you rip people off for hundreds of dollars before being exposed as the lowlifes they are.

yes it is, you don't have 40000000 tire kickers writing "drive by" PMs busting your ***** on something that is priced decent. You can have something thats like new, costs 1500 new, for sale for 400 and costs 100 to ship. you'll have guys saying "will you take $250 shipped" give me a f'n break. the only place worse is fullsizechevy... they'll offer you LESS than the item costs to ship.

if you have time to **** around and get jerked off for weeks before you sell something, then tech can be a good place to do it.... if you want to sell something to get it out of the GD way, ebay is it.

Hey:

I think its a good idea, this way you send the scammers to the other sites,
where they don't have to wait. I am sure they still have some jackholes get
over on here, by doing a quick 50 posts, but that does alert somebody when they try to sell the same day after getting the quick 50 I hope.
