I have been a helpful productive member of this website for 3 years .I have gone to meet and greets and purchased 3 cars and some parts of this website . never once had any real issue with anyone as it takes allot to up set me .

I posted a topic earlier today. By my mistake I posted it in the wrong forum.I was browsing more then 1 and i put it in street racing fourms rather then the racers lounge where i meant to put it . within 2 secs some overly eager Street Racing Director (Sarge_13) who hasn't been here even as long as me hits me with a infraction . No hey did you mean to post that there . No hey ill move that to the proper area.nope just a instant infraction for a misclick ... I have always liked the way things are run here thus why i have purchased cars here . but i would hate to think that this is the new way it will be ran .Please remove the infraction As soon as you are able .If this was a infraction worthy offense there should have been a warning at least before a infraction .


Infraction where made for trolls and trouble makers not for old members who make a misclick .

 

I've only been here about 8 months, and i can already tell you if i could find another site with as many archived old threads as this place, i would be gone. It's way to political, and there are way to many idiots on here. There is a michigan site for fbodies, i wont list the name cause its probably agains the rules (ha) but the guys on there are generally helpful and caring, but there just isnt the quantity of knowledge there that is here. I do more searching and such than posting for that reason.

 

as a member in good standing i have no doubt that the infraction will be removed . As it was just a simple misunderstanding . i was only up set that the Street racing director didn't remove it after i explained what had happened .He just told me if i did know how to post after being here for 3 years thats my fault. Witch im not a master of these forums by no means. I guess I spend to much time racing and building my car and not enough time on the forums like Sarge_13 .Im sure he knows this place inside and out.

 

I don't think that's right, you shouldn't get an infraction for that.

 

1 point... it will be gone in 10 days. You would need 9 more to get a 7 day ban. I think that you will be ok.

Was it the right way to handle the situation? Probably not. Have you PM'd Sarge about it?

But like I said, it will be gone in 10 days, I doubt they will remove it.

 

I sent him a meesage as soon as it happened and he told me if i dont know how to post after 3 years thats my fault . Its not that i didnt know how to do it i just misclicked it can happen to anyone .I have a perfect record here and i would like to keep it that way

Best you can do is PM badjuju and see what he says. Again it will be gone in 10 days.

 

The infraction is for not reading the stickies. If you had, then you would have seen that the particular section you posted in is for "Street racing kill stories". Not to start threads talking about how street racing is good or bad or about a particular car. It won't/can't do anything until you rack up enough points to get yourself banned. It will be gone in 10 days anyway...

 

Maybe he was just having a bad day.... we all have them...

It wasnt that i didnt read the stickys . Its that I had both the racers longue and the Street racing forums up at the same time . i Posted in yours 100% by mistake .It was intended for the louge . you basicly punished me for likeing the forums enoght to have 2 open at once thanks a bunch ; )

 

Sorry to hear about that OP, I'm sure I'd be insulted too. If you are not a trouble maker or constantly trolling or posting up in the wrong sections, then you merit a break in my opinion. I'm sure the mod in question was just doing his job, but it's the principle of the thing that makes it so insulting. It's not like we have a totally automated system here without provisions for discretion. Either way no biggy and I'm sure we are all entitled to a little venting from time to time. I hear where you're coming from man and I hope you don't take it too personally.

 

I dont think i would care in the slightest . If I didnt make such a point of following all the sites rules .Aswell as geting along with all its members . Witch that parts not all that hard most users on here are stand up people . Just getting that for a mistake is just so so ,well i cant really explain it its just bothers me greatly .

Its not even a punishment....you will only get "punished" by getting enough infractions (warnings) to get banned.

wow that sucked, but what i don't get is the "b.s. threads" that are stared on there and have nothing to do with that section and then a wrong click and you get an infraction......

 

If you've noticed or if you stick around in there a while, I don't start them. Most, if not all, start out as a kill story or a story about a race and then just get derailed from there.

 

you don't have to start it to participate, but some did go off into left field
