Default This site has slowed down a lot volume wise in the last year or so.

I understand the LS1 and mainly the 4th gens have been around awhile w/ both not being produced anymore but this site is starting to feel like Camaroz28.com after the LT1 was gone lol. And to think this site was such a Goliath just a few years ago. Back in the day if you threw something up for sale it was gone in the hour Post's barely get responded on anymore and selling anything has become difficult. Guess its only natural, sad to see though.

This seems to be very true. There is much more immediate response on Facebook. However, the shortcoming of Facebook is that posts have a much shorter shelf life than forum threads.

Definitely true which makes it very hard to sell or buy anything using that method. I know I personally have had no luck doing either via FB.

Cannot agree more with this. Site used to have 5 responses to a problem with the car within 30 mins.

I haven't come across a good Facebook group yet (if someone wants to PM me that would be cool) but I prefer coming here. I hate facebook lol

I personally like LS1Tech way better than I do any of the FB groups. At least the people on this forum are halfway educated about all things LS related. Some of the questions that get asked on the FB groups makes me feel badly for the LS community, and society as a whole. I really hope that this forum picks back up. I love getting on here daily and look forward to seeing what's going on, asking questions, and helping others when I can.

I really don't understand why. I wonder if it has something to do with the mobile app? I always have issues with it not working right.

I want the ls1tech facebook page to allow us to be able to post and ask questions on there. It has 50+ thousand members. Might not have a typical "sections" like on the site but questions would get answered very rapidly.

Think about just how many F bodies have been wrecked over time, the car is becoming the starter "fast" car which is too much for most kids/young adults.

Think about how many you are seeing get parted out and scrapped. The car is becoming the next 1st gen camaro. What's left will be sought after

I do agree that it has slowed down a bit around here. A lot of the "older guys" like myself have sold off our cars to the younger "facebook generation" so to speak. I do use facebook but really much prefer the message board format. The wealth of knowledge and information available with a quick search just can't be beat...

I feel the ls1fbody has become what the foxbody mustang was when the ls1 first came out. A poor mans fast car.

As there is no such thing as a "new" problem with cars that have been out of production for 13+ years, many basic issues can be answered via a site search. This site has the greatest collection of LS1-specific information on the internet, so you don't always need an immediate response to a new thread to get help.

For people who are only interested in an immediate response via F******k, regardless of the quality of information, then I wish them luck. When some of those responses lead them in the wrong direction, LS1Tech will be here to assist in setting right what once went wrong.....and the wealth of knowledge will then grow further.

As a day-one member of this site, I've obviously seen all the ups and downs in traffic and I agree that discussion forums in general don't enjoy the popularity they once did. This is not specific to only LS1Tech, nor is there anything that can be done by one site to change a trend. I am one of the few "older guys" who still has his 4th gen, will continue to have his 4th gen, and also continue to remain active daily on this site. I have no interest in F******k and I will not be participating there myself.

Boosted LSX is the only facebook page I spend any amount of time on.

IB ruined FB several years ago for many of us. We voiced our opinions and concerns... They didn't listen. It is all about the $ to them. It isn't the first... Or second... Or third... website they have all but completely ruined.

It wasn't what it once was, that is for sure.
