I agree that newbies should not be able to increase their post counts in certain forums but would it be possible to adjust it so that members that have been on here for say a year plus and say 1000 to 1500 post not be limited to any forum as far as post counts go?

I agree, but at the same time post whoring should continue to be extremely discouraged and punished. However, you'd have to talk to Brains on the feasibility of selectively limiting post counts, and how well it would work. Hell, I've been in the Staging Lanes since I had a few hundred posts. You can tell how well the status title worked out

Why do you care about post counts?

I don't. I just use it to judge how much of my time is actually spent here lol. Also, I was noting that small things that rely on post counts haven't worked in the past(not that those small things matter much either). For me its really just a curiosity thing on how bad I'm addicted LOL.

I just want to stop 'Teching In' and just be titled 'Present & Accounted For'. Numbers could mean less to me, if someone needs help from me they PM or address me in a thread, bean counting doesn't discredit your worth. Just my personal opinion and .02

We are not an off topic driven website so I doubt we will make any changes in the near future.

I am not concerned with post count, I have been here almost from day one I only started this because a lot of people do care and Brains seems to know his way around a website and was just curious.
