Default Site Suggestion

I'm going to plug camaroz28 on this, only because what they did was an excellent idea. They setup a way for people to donate to the site. Called being a "supporting member". Cost is only $10 (yearly) and gives you the "supporting member" title under your user name, space for 250 private messages (instead of 50) and the ability to upload an avatar and title of choice for your account at any time over the one year subscription. I just think it'd be a good idea to help with some of the site upkeep and management, the board's a great tech resource and I'm sure if even 2% of the members wanted to donate, that'd be great. Just a thought.

hmmmm, we were thinking about just charging everyone 1000 dollars to view the site.

People really would pay for special privileges? Interesting

I think its a great idea. This site is the best. I feel almost ashamed using it as much as I do and not contributing.

I'm happy with Tech Addict, and can live with the limit on PM's. More than willing to donate time/effort tho.

They're just an added bonus. Most people dont mind donating $10 towards one of the best tech resources out there.

Hey, I'd love to. I spend enough time on here to gladly contribute more actively. I've got a fund as well for a 9" currently accepting donations

I wouldn't mind throwing in a few bucks if I could get a custom user title . As long as it wasn't abused , it would work. You admins don't mind a few extra moddin' $$$$ , do ya?

Take a look at the sponsor list. It's 100+. They all pay a minimum of (I've heard) $100/month.

But,...if a "title" is that important to you, then...LOL...give away your money.

Yeah, they seem to be getting more than enough money already... heck, they even do monthly contests to give some of it away!

You have to be invited by an admin.

Just my opinion, but I dislike the monetary contribution concept. Sponsorship is great isn't it?

Thinking about another shiny new truck I see?

I would pay 10 bucks a year, although I doubt I would even use the features, just to support the site.

10 a year would be nice, like the idea of a custome title, but i don't think the site is anywhere near short of funds.
