IRC EFNET Chatroom
IRC EFNET Chatroom I thought of a good thing we all could do. Get on IRC EFNET and chat there under #LS1TECH
if you don't know how to get on irc, go to www.mirc.com and download the chat client (MIRC). If you have basic computer knowledge you can get on here ... just make sure you get on EFNET (i use the irc.blessed.net server).
that way we dont have to fill up the message board with posts

The administrators of LS1Tech have said that they do not want a chat room associated with the message board; if they wanted one, they could easily have set one up themselves.

Well, atleast IRC gives you the option of being moderated. Oh well, not that big of a deal I guess. From what I've found, most people just idle in the chatrooms anyway. If you moderated it, you wouldn't have that big of a problem. I know #cars (while there are plenty of idiots yes) there are a lot of intelligent conversations that do occur. Also, since there is an inherent barrier to entry (your average fool can't figure out how to get on the IRC chat server etc.) you do cut down on SOME of the idiotic behavior. However, if the room was moderated by people who actually care (i.e. people who don't want too many off-topic conversations) then that would cut down on a lot of the filth.
I would bet you any amount of money that the #LS1TECH channel on EFNET wouldn't last very long (or any chat network for that matter).
Ah well, EFNET is where i chat and there just aren't any people in #camaro ... no fbody owners hardly
