Default Reporting a moderator

To the administrators of LS1Tech. My name is Angel Lopez and I want to report the administrator TITAN on the Western Members Section.

The fella mentions that name calling is not welcomed on that section in that thread to one member when another member (a female did the same). I mentioned that a double standard may exist if nothing is said to the other party and he corrected it.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=319709&page=2

Then on the same thread and on page 3, while going over some Q&A with another party, he mentioned us hijacking that thread when I was only being courteous and answering questions. If the party member that started the thread had a problem with it and sent me a PM, their wishes would have been respected. On top of that he calls us "HIGH SCHOOLERS" (And not following his own advice). Here is the thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...9&page=3&pp=20

I respectifully responded not being appreciative being called a High Schooler as you have read. And again this guy continues the names calling me "GENIUS" Now is that fair to a fella that serves his country honorably as a soldier?

On top of which the administrator locks a thread began by me of "Who's Hotter?" No one was getting hurt and all the responses were great, now if he recommended getting it to the lounge, then it would be appreciate that it's moved there.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/western-members/332341-who-hotter.html

I sent TITAN a PM and opiniated that he was retaliating to me over my comments made over his name calling and not following his own advice. As a 13 year veteran and experiencing world events. TITAN is not properly fit and carries no qualities to lead a forum in the Western Members Section. Thanks for taking the time to read my concerns.

And as always, LS1Tech members have an open invite to anything my organization does in the California area. You will see it in my signature. Thank you.

I don't currently have a comment about this situation, but please note that Titan is a moderator/'director', not an administrator (there are only three administrators on this site, but more than a hundred moderators), so I have changed the title from "Reporting an administrator" to "Reporting a moderator".

I'm still serving (9 years straight with multiple deployments) and the High-School Comment (like he said in his response) was questioning the Actions. Not the people.

I can see how you took it the wrong way. That's a problem with Forums. They are not the same as a Human Conversation and don't come off the same.

As for thelocked thread, Jessica Alba is HHHOOOOTTTT. Sorry Hi-jacked.

He isn't leading a fire team down a crowded street in Fallujah or anything like that.

Hehehehe....this has now entered the world of funny.....

First of all, what you decided to leave out is that you and another user (msfyter/theOneyouwant) decided to hijack someone else's thread so you could promote your own club/events....if you think for one second myself or any other moderator doesn't know what all that dialogue between the two of you is, than you are mistaken...

The manner in which the two of you behaved yourselves in that thread was juvenile so I thought asking if you guys are high schoolers are appropriate....if not, well than maybe you should act closer to yor own age...

Also, the locked thread I did not want in the western section, so I locked in and politely ask that you take it to the lounge if you so choose...

But if you have some anger built up towards me because your disrespectful buddy asked to be banned and did such things to get banned than that's your problem....it's not my fault that you or he can't respect the rules and other users (including moderators) of the board.....

Respectfully submitted,

Joe

Thanks for the supposrt Richie and cyphur....

Every PM/post this guy sends me he asks me what I have against military people....

I have tried to tell him that half of my family are retired military and i have several friends serving in Iraq right now....I am a HUGE military supporter and have a LOT of respect for anyone in the armed services....and i too am confised as to what this guy's military background has to do with any of these threads....

Oh. I will say that I would see it the same way as TITAN did. It seems the guy that was banned (yes. We see IP's) comes back and the 1st thing he does is Pump up your club.

I'm kinda new here myself, but what I did notice is that the guy could only have been a member since last Wednesday - less than a week - and he's pimping his club. Sure, it may be a really cool club, and talking about it in here generally isn't a bad thing, but hijacking someone elses thread is. Sure, go ahead and answer someone's question - even if it is off-topic, but leave it at that. If you've been running a board as long as some of these folks have, you'd understand that it's rude to do all that, and there are more appropriate ways to convey that sort of information without stepping on someone's toes. Now, I have no business telling anyone what to do or how to do it, but what the GI's above have said is true - you came in here, pimped your club, hijacked the thread and got pissed when someone called you on it. If this were YOUR board, how would YOU have handled it?

That's my .02, which with today's economy isn't worth squat. Take it for what it's worth.

Very good point about msfyter and theOneyouwant being the same person. I hadn't checked that till now.

Nothing against you Cali, but Mark Osbourne needs to stop doing this - reregistering in an attempt to get around a ban is not allowed. The 'theOneyouwant' account has now been permanently banned, and if he tries this again, the one-month ban on the main account (msfyter) certainly can also be extended.

actually it should be a well known fact that its not allowed. i tell everyone i ban that if they try to re-register that i'll add a month to their origninal time, each time they try. after the 3rd try, its a permanent ban for all names they have registered including the original account.

Yeah, it should definitely be obvious... I'm probably being a bit too lenient this time You can add another month on msfyter if you feel like it

Exactly my point with this. Anyhoo, do what you must. But don't for one second perceive theoneyouwant with me. I speak for myself only and theoneyouwant for themselves. And do some growing up young man.

I have plenty of veterans in my family and it rubs me wrong for someone to leverage that for attention on a message forum. If you needed help for a real problem, there are plenty of people who would take their shirt of their back for you. This is just childish though. Good luck to you bud. We all appreciate your service but have a little dignity.

what also childish of him was him creating his

"ls1techsucksbigtime" name

I agree with Titan. I am sorry but you are acting like you are ten.

I am giving you your official warning, that This name you are using now is on the verge of being banned, simply because making "Troll" accounts here on tech is NOT tolerated.

Do NOT create another account. I permabanned the other one. If i catch your IP under another name again, or you troll.. you will be banned.

Getting a long with others here is not hard. Enjoy yourself and have a good time on the board.

"LS1techsucksbigtime" was Mark again. msfyter gets 6 months now. For someone who posted that he doesn't care at all about this site, he sure wastes a lot of time trying to come back.

I completely agree with Titan's actions and can see no foul on his part. And we most definitely DO support folks here in the military fully. If you wanted to support your car club , then start a thread of your own. Pretty simple, actually.
