Try selecting a specific forum to search in. I searched for "oil pressure" in Titles Only, in the LS1/LS6 Internals forum, and got 134 results.

Something to remember, the more specific you can be, the better the results will be.

I do only search one forum (Internals). My example search just started working again for awhile, but now did a non-advanced searched (same forum) and it timed out again. Seems more like an overloaded server problem. Or is there some known problem with using Firefox browser?

I use Firefox 2.0.0.1, no problems here.

Brains would have to chime in about server load. It may very well be the problem.

Odd as this may sound the search wont work for me if I use the words: cam or heads. I was trying to find out about heads/cam for a few days now then gave up. Then I was searched on Line locks and it worked....tried other stuff just for grins and it worked. Went back to "cam"...no dice...."heads" same thing. Weird huh?

If you search for items as broad as "cam" or "heads" then you will not get any results. Those terms are found in so many ******* threads that you'd get half of the database back.

Be a little more specific than that, and it should work. Search works, its just a matter of using it correctly - and that is where most people run into trouble.

I searched for LS6 intake and got 503 message. I searched for "ETP" and got a result. OK, so I searched, LS6 intake for sale (little more specific)... no dice. Then I searched "ls6 intake for sale 2001 2002" with no results. Some things work flawless, some give me nothing but errors. What would you recommend searching for? I'm being dead serious, I know it works, but obviously I'm searching wrong...

Yeah I have been conducting searches for several months on several different computers and I always get the 503 server to busy arent there enough sponsors on here to have a smoother running search. I usually get fed up and head to ls1.com or camaroz28.com where I never have problems.

as i said earlier in this thread.....

If you are getting 503 errors all the time, you are not using search correctly. Typically you aren't being specific enough.

provide some examples of what you are searching for, if you could.
