Whats up with the paypal fees?
5. No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods). Nor does this restriction apply to Pound-denominated transactions by sellers residing in the United Kingdom listing items for sale on a UK-based website.
Is there anything to be done with the constant abuse in the For Sale section regarding this?
{you won't be able to make a dent, I don't think}
I'm not saying it's right, I have NEVER asked for additional funds for Paypal fees (and I pay Paypal thousands a year in fees). I just don't think it's worth the time to mess with. LS1Tech is not going to police it. We moderators don't get paid enough to do Paypal's work for them. Heck, my salary here isn't even enough to buy a pack of gum...
re-word it and have 50 pages in my for sale add explaining why something costs 181.13 instead of 175.00 i know small items i usually dont worry about , its the larger items i generally add the extra in and in most cases i end up at 50/50
paypal isnt the best , the far from protect either party

Since you feel it is necessary to post Paypal's rules repeatedly in other members for sale ads, please allow me to point out another rule that needs to be followed...

Your responses are not constructive, and honestly it is not your place to tell them what or how to price their items. Their transactions are between them, the buyer and Paypal, and does not include you. LS1tech does not have anything to do with the actual transactions in the classifieds. We are simply supplying a way to advertise, not unlike any newspaper or trader magazine, except we allow members to do it for free.
If you see something that needs our attention, please report it using the report bad post feature. You are not a moderator or the Paypal police here, so please do not post up in the classifieds if you are not selling or potentially buying.
Thanks
I could have gone out of my way and got their paypal addresses and reported them for the violation, then they could have dealt with paypal themselves while their accounts were frozen. Instead I informed them of what they were doing wrong.
the items or try contacting Paypal directly...good luck with that.

Andrew already nailed it. We (LS1Tech) aren't going to monitor
every sale to ensure that a user isn't hit with Paypal fees.
Buy direct from our suppliers if you want to support LS1Tech.
Thats what I intend on doing, I enjoy the site, the information that it has already, the minds behing the keyboards that supply information, and the bodies that hold those minds that are most times good people to see at a meet and know you have something in common.
