Seems everyone that wants this car is half way around the world.

Nothing a long 4 day drive wouldn't solve (minus the person in HI) haha

Dude, you're getting dangerously close to making me do something stupid... lol.

I KNOW I don't need a vette right now, but I'm loving your car...
I gave 23 grand for my 98 back in 2001... which was a deal too good to pass up...
Your car is getting REAL close to to that same "can't pass up" status..

Wonder how my wife would react to me buying this for my own 35'th birthday present (which is on Friday)...

Crap... I just figured out why it's still for sale.....

Blue book values are KILLING the loan value of these cars.. and I don't know why!

There is NO REASON an 05 Vette should blue book for less than 20k, but for some reason, it DOES!

That's retarded!
That might make it tough for me to get the 19k loan that I'd need to buy this bad boy..
some beotch...

Most credit unions will give private party or retail pricing at no more than 140%. I bought a car once that was HIGHLY modified and went through Pentagon Fed. It said right on the loan paper that I was allowed without needing any officer to sign off, go to 140% of the car's value.

With that said - KBB Private Party is 20,950 and retail is $24,000. I doubt you'd have a problem getting a loan on the car - In the meantime...Happy Birthday!

Thanks for the birthday wish... but the issue is getting a loan longer than 3 years on a car that old with those miles for that amount...

And my credit is absolutely not an issue... and I don't even need the full amount now that I sold my bike..

I'm going to do some more checking..

If it helps..two years ago I got a 60 month loan on a 1999 C5.
Then again the credit markets were running like the damn Mississippi

No it really doesn't cause two years ago may as well have been a decade ago as far as credit markets are concerned.

Like you said, back then ANYONE could get a loan for ANYTHING for ANY amount of time....

which is why we're in the predicament that we're in now in this country.

Anyway, good luck with the local sale.
Sell this thing so I don't have to figure out a way to buy it.

Yeah the only decent priced c5 or c6 on the market here now is my friends 00 slightly modified with 160k miles for 14g lol. to buy one with under 100k miles you are looking at 20k+ and that is 00,01,02 year prices.

Ive looked in Cali so I could just ship it here for an additional 1500 on the price tag lol. But then again Cali has no deals like yours lol.

Good luck on the local sale

I'm interested. I'm located in Arlington VA. Let me know if your other local offer falls through.

Did the car already pass VA emissions?

Yes, it did pass VA emissions less than a month ago. Flying colors

The other interested person has not backed out, just decided to come and see the car Saturday. I don't think he is 100% sold on the idea, the price or the car - but he is very interested and wants to see it.

Until I have deposit in my hand - the car is still for sale and the price is firm at $26,000.
