The time has come yet again where i got myself into a project that i cannot afford / nor have the abilities to finish. I will try to be as descriptive as possible but the best way to chat about the car will be over the phone.
2000 Camaro Z28
Navy Blue Metallic
4l60e
2.73 10 bolt
Power everything
Cruise
T-Tops
Brief History on the motor swap - I finally blew the original 5.7 on the dyno not due to the tune but simply because it had 110k miles and over 10k miles at well over 500 RWHP. I found a low mile 5.3 out of a 2005 tahoe with 76,000 miles to put in.
Engine
76k mile JY 5.3
ls1 intake
stock 706 heads
brand new ls6 cam
brand new dual spring kit
brand new pushrods
all gaskets except heads...lol
Trans
4L60E that was JUST refreshed with all new seals, gaskets, and 3-4 Z PAK. Trans also has beast sun shell, heavy duty servos, front and rear 5 pinion planets, reinforced drum, borg warner sprag, z-pac for 3-4, transgo shift kit, sonax pressure regulator, and an SS3200 yank stall. Big trans cooler up front.
Turbo Setup
T70 .96 A/R turbo T4 flange
3" downpipe
PTK hotside
Nice Turbo Headers
JGS wastegate
Greedy blow off valve
Tredstone Intercooler
60lb Motron injectors
Walbro 255
Odds and ends
BMR Tubular K Member
Battery relocated to rear
Nice 17/18 OE Wheel Deep Dish C6 Wheels with pretty fresh rubber
Dual Flex Fans
Issues
- Obviously it needs a head gasket or both we are not sure yet. The motor runs great, 50 PSI hot pressure, no noises, but its pushing some water out the exhaust.
- Both window motors need to be done especially the drivers one
- One of the pullies is only held on with 1 bolt because the engine block didnt have 2 like the 5.7 did. Turning the belt slips a bit. You just need to make a bracket.
- The tune up to 5,000 rpm is done which is where the old motor blew up. There is at most 1 hour left.
Thats basically it. It may sound like alot but it truely is ALOT of car for what i'm asking. Its too much for me. Ive already invested alot of money in this car. I will also throw in a brand new AEM air fuel gauge and brand new front drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. For someone who knows what they are doing you can basically have a really nice 130 MPH car for a couple hundred dollars. The body is nice, paint is pretty nice, interior besides the drivers bolster is also nice.
I'm asking 8200 OBO.
