2001 Chevy Camaro Z28/SS Performance Street Drag Race LS 408
Year: 2001
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $16000
Mileage: 87750
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MD
Color: Gray
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
I just put new QA1 front shocks on it a couple of weeks ago, and confirmed that all joints and ends are nice and tight. Was prepared to replace them, but no need. Car drives better than stock. Almost every mechanical component has been replaced or upgraded over the past 5 years. I bought the car in 2010. It is a Z28 - SS clone, not a true SS. The motor has about 5k miles, the heads and cam about 3k miles. With the exception of the block and rear, almost all parts were purchased new. Anything purchased used is indicated in the list below. I have the receipts for almost everything.
I have done most of the work with assistance from many regional speed shops in the MD/DC/VA area. I have never run nitrous through this motor (promise), but it's setup for it. I was at the track twice last year with the new 408 motor and ran a best of 11.05 with a 1.58 60 foot pulling the wheels for about 30 feet. That was a so-so tune and I know the car has more in it. Aside from the track, I drive the car like a grandpa.
In short, it's an awesome street car that runs and drives well enough to be a daily driver if you can stand 12-15 MPG. Cam is as big as I am comfortable with on the street, but I am pretty tolerant. Awesome stereo system, too. I could part it out and sell everything for more, but it's too nice and too squared away to take apart. Currently has no cats. Emissions are not installed but I have most everything short of a hose or two. Back seats not installed, but I have those too.
$16,000 cash OBO. POSSIBLY interested in trade for 62-67 Nova, 68-72 Chevelle, or 67-73 Camaro drag car roller. Have tons more pics if TRULY interested.

Has the car been dyno tuned? I seen you use HP Tuners MPVI Pro is it tuned for 91? Unless I over read your listing does it have a roll bar? Any videos of the Camaro?

Yes, the car has been dyno tuned several times in the past year to get it just right. Power is around 525 rwhp and 450 tq with a nice broad power curve. Tuned for pump gas. It does not have a roll bar, I don't go to the track enough to warrant it.
Here are some videos:

Nope, still have it. I haven't been actively trying to sell it with the hope I'd have time to play with it this summer. Unfortunately, it hasn't moved in over a month... So, yes is still for sale.

Everything works. AC blows cold on the hottest day. Interior is excellent because the car was garaged it's entire life and has low miles. I bought it from the pervious owner in 2010 because I wanted a car that had a perfect interior and body - didn't want to mess with that stuff. Aside from the small dent repair near the antenna explained in the post and some minor paint chip repairs if you're picky, the car literally needs nothing except a good home. Oh, to be expected in these Camaros, driver side window doesn't align perfectly with the weather seal on the A pillar. Tried everything to adjust it, but it doesn't leak water so I ignore it.
