98 Trans AM 6-speed $4999 OBO
1998 Pontiac Trans Am (Located near Louisville, KY)
LS1 – V8
6 speed manual
106,xxx miles
clean title
t-tops, leather, keyless, etc.
The bad first:
Clutch is starting to slip when you hit the gas in 5th or 6th gear on the highway, but still grabs perfect in 1st thru 4th
Transmission grinds occasionally when down shifting from 6th gear to 5th gear.
Check Engine light is on from the emissions being removed, but can be turned off with a programmer, but WILL NOT pass emissions as it sits
AC compressor needs replaced
Will need shocks soon too.
Car has a crack in the passenger side fender. See pic:
Car is NOT a WS6 but I installed a factory Ram Air hood and air box. The hood came with a fuel pressure gauge on it that I removed but will include with the car, so there are holes in the hood from the gauge See pic:
Driver’s seat has a small tear in it on the seam See pic:
The good:
Other than what’s listed above the car is in really good shape other than a few chips here and there. It has been garage kept for the last three years, much of that under a car cover, which is included, and is not a daily driver. Runs really strong, and sounds pissed off. I dynoded it bone stock and it put 296 to the rear wheels, but have not dynoed since the mods, so I don’t know exactly how much it makes.
MODS:
Factory Ram Air Hood
Factory WS6 air box
Zr-1 wheels 17x9 in front and 17x11 in the rear with Firebird center cap logos
Pro 5.0 shifter
Air Lid and bellow
Long tube headers with True dual exhaust (H–pipe design)
Car cover
Hard wired radar detector
Emissions have been removed but I’ll include the stock headers and exhaust, cats, air pump, EGR and all other parts that I still have.
Selling to pay off debts.
$4999 OBO

Car has been sold.
thanks for all the interest, I had literally 75 to 80 PM's between this site, and two others so sorry if I was not able to entertain all offers, but I got full asking price in less than 24 hours so it's all good.
