750 RWHP 2002 Z28 trade+cash for C6Z06
Just throwing this out there for now, I would really like to get a C6Z06 but don't have room for another car so one has to go, and I like my Viper too much.
This car was built with the best parts, no expense spared, well over $45K invested. Will run 9's on pump gas no problem, can street drive anywhere. I'm not going to say anything gay like "this car is not for the weak of heart". If you've been in a true 9 second street car you know its not for everyone. Its fast. Tirespin is always a concern on the street, and WOT is useless except at the track. I've street raced the car and without prep its not too smart.
2002 Z28, 35,xxx original miles. Sunoco pin on hood, SS spoiler. Black. Paint is nice, typical of car with this mileage. I won't say perfect but no dings at all, no major scratches, and obviously no rust. T top car.
Motor:
408 built by Midwest engine tech. Approx 500-600 miles on motor. Iron block.
Dart heads, ported by builder, cometic gaskets
Comp shaft mount roller rockers
Eagle crank
forged rods and pistons (forget which brand off the top of my head)
D1SC procharger, same miles as motor.
Precision turbo FMIC
LS6 intake, ported stock TB.
Meziere EWP
long tubes, 3" Y, 4" exhaust
Motor carries excellent oil pressure, no oil usage, no noise, idles great and doesn't overheat. Made 757 RWHP through my 4L60E, 93 octane pump gas. 13 psi. Lots left on the table!
Trans:
Brand new (less than 50 miles) TH400
trans brake
RMVB
Cheetah shifter with digital air shifter
BMR crossmember
FTI 4000 stall
Cooler with AN lines
Runs perfect, still new, and runs cool!
Rear:
Strange 12 bolt, narrowed 1.25" per side.
Spool
3.73 gears
33 spline axles
New bearings and fluid
Suspension:
TRZ rear sway bar setup. Brand new.
Billingsley LCA's
Random tech torque arm
QA1 shocks all around
BMR tubular K
Spohn lower A arms
UMI subframes
Aerospace drag brakes all around, practically new, with Strange manual master and line lock.
Fuel system:
BBRC stainless fuel cell
Magnafuel 750 pump
-10 feed, -8 return lines
Aeromotive rails
Built to handle alot more power than I'm making...
Misc:
Fluidyne alum. radiator
Powermaster high amp alternator
lightweight battery
Lingenfelter 2 step
Wolfe 6 pt CM roll bar (door bars out currently, to be modified for swing outs
Kirkey seat
Stock excellent condition leather seats included
heat and A/C removed for weight
Halo headlights tinted
blacked out tail lights
Autometer fuel pressure, boost, trans temp gauges
New CM driveshaft
New lexan back window (with blackout, looks factory)
2 sets of wheels/tires
MT wheels with brand new Hoosier 325 DR's, DS2 front runners. All excellent condition
Jegs pro star wheels with MT 325 DR's and sportsman pro front tires. Wheels powdercoated black. Excellent condition.
Car needs NOTHING. It has been tuned on 93 octane only, doesn't need race gas. Recent retune to clear A4 codes for TH400 swap.
Carfax will show one accident, in which the car slid into a ditch. It is otherwise clean and has had no damage. Clean title.
I have run a best of 10.14 at 139.3 MPH with a shitty 1.63 60'. The car hooks great, the convertor was too tight. It has since been corrected with a new trans and looser convertor plus trans brake. That was with my fat 300 lb *** in it and I also have removed another 90-100 lbs from the car since (maybe more). Dry the car weighs about 3000-3100 lbs. I weighed it at 3240 but that was before at least 200 lbs of weight removal (lexan, drag brakes, TRZ bar, etc.) This is super light for an iron block car.
I street drive it and have no problems. Obviously its geared towards a drag setup, so the rear is stiff bit you can pull a link on the sway bar to soften the ride on the street. You aren't going to take any corners at 60 MPH on skinnies either. Addition of a front sway bar and some real tires should have the car handling very well though, if you're into that kind of thing.
You can drive this anywhere, it never misses a beat. I am extremely meticulous on maintenance. In the 500 or so miles the motor/blower has been in I have changed the oil at least 6 times and changed the blower oil 2 or 3 times.
I'm sure there are about 1000 things I'm forgetting, but thats the basics. I would llike to get a 2005 or newer C6Z06, preferably black. I will toss in some cash to make up the difference in cost. Car must have clean title, be in excellent condition, and mods are OK by me.
Since a price must be posted, I'll say $33K.

Secondly, I wouldn't trade this car for a C5 anyway. I've already had one, like the newer one much better. Besides, C5's are going for less than what this cars worth anyway.
