1999 Firebird ( torque monster) 1999 Firebird Formula w/ 40k original miles. I bought the car 2 years ago from the original owner. I have some receipts for some for the aftermarket parts on the car. This is one of the most reliable street/strip set ups I know of.
I dirve the car on a daily bases in the summer months. I drive it to the track and back home, The car gets great gas mileage compared to most other cars with similar set ups. I'd guess around 12-mpg city and 15-mpg highway. The car has gone mid 10's @ 128 mph in the 1/4 mile w/ low 1.4 60fts. It has much more left in it.
I have fallen on some hard financial times and must sell the car asap.
Mods
Engine:
Forged bottom end 382 LS1 (about 3k on it and maybe 40 1/4 mile motor passes) w/ JE forged pistons, Oliver light weight rods, Lunniti crank, GTP stage 2 heads w/ double springs, 525 554 578 578 109 custom cam, arp head and main studs, cometic head gaskets, Ls6 intake manifold, Ported tb, Pacestter long tube headers, Bullit and dumps, SLP fan switch, 160 degree thermostat, 30lb hr Ford injectors,Comp R lifters, The car runs great and is ready to be sprayed. It had 12.1 compression ratio. This motor was biult for nitrous , but I cannot afford to spray it.
Tuned w/ LS1 edit and HP tuners.
Drive train:
Art Carr 9 1/2" 4600 stall converter, Forcade th400 w/ all the extras including reverse manual valve body, deep alum. pan, and trans brake, trans cooler, Chetta shifter, Lokar dip stick, sfi approved light weight flex plate, custom shortened drive shaft, Strange 12 bolt rear w/ strange light weight spool, 33 splined axles, w/ all new seals and bearings.
Body:
Vnf Fiberglass 4 inch Ws6 hood, weld draglites 15x3.5x26 w/ radial tires (front), weld prostars 15x10 w/ m/t 15x10.5x28 drag slicks and also another set of 15x10's with 325/50/15 mickey thompson drag radials , rear fender wells have been modified to fit 15x12.5x28 et streets, heater core and a/c have been removed, stock interior no rear seats and Front corea race sets( red), 6 point cage has ever been installed in the car is teched for 10.0's, paint is in ok condition, mainly normal paint oxidation and minor chips mostly on hood,small dent on rear quater panel, Passenegr side rocker needs repaired( old owner jacked hte car up wrong) BMR tubular front k member, weld-in sub frame connectors, Autometer tach and shift light mounted on steering colum.
Suspension:
QA1 coil over adjustable fronts w/drag springs, removed front sway bar, sphoon adjustable torque arm w/ spherical rod end and built-in drive shaft safety loop, BMR rear drag bar, V6 rear springs, QA1 adjustable rear shocks, sphoon rear double adjustable lower control arms.
This car will NOT pass emissions as is but you should be able to just bolt on an exhaust w/ a fake or real cat (for visual inspection purposes only) and it should pass. All emission trouble codes have been erased via LS1 edit. I passed emissions last year with an exhaust and a fake cat because it's obd2 the car was scanned and showed no dtcs.
As for inspection same deal...an exhaust and some dot tires should be all it needs to pass.
