FS: 2001 Trans Am (Auto) in VA/DC/MD $8000 OBO NEEDS TO GO!
Currently in the Army serving here in the DC area. Bought this car before I came to this duty location last year. This is my fourth f-body, I love em, but it just seems impractical up here in this area. LS1's need their space and it's just not getting it up here. I bought the car with 96,000 miles on it with a warrenty that lasted until this past march. At 97,500 the auto tranny started having a few problems, so I took it in and got a complete rebuild, still have all the paperwork.
2001 Pontiac Trans Am
Red
Auto
Currently 103,000 miles
5-10% window tint all around (it's really dark)
new windshield, no cracks or pecks
t-tops, no leakage
stock, with a weld in flowmaster
sony cd/mp3 player wired for speakers
Car has been taken car of, oil changed regularly, serviced regularly
Tranny rebuild was $2200 (not paid by me, otherwise would have just bought a nasty tranny) to include:
1 booster overhaul kit, torque converter, filter, 2-4 band, shift solenoids, edc solenoid, reverse shell, v/b sep. plate, sonnax tcc valve, accu spring... etc...
ever since the tranny has felt really great, shifts awesome
The car runs great, no mechanical problems what so ever. I haven't had a single hiccup out of it yet.
There are two visual defects on the car. Both happened while the car was parked and me being absent ( like i said, this car doesn't need to be in this city!) It looks like someone backed into me on both of them, I was parallel parked on the side of the street in both instances. The front bumper is scratched in a pretty decent sized area and the paint is cracked in the affected area, just needs to be re-sprayed, you don't really need a new bumper. The left rear quarter panel had a dent the size of a small kitchen plate. There are a couple of small scratches around the affected area. We pushed the dent out, but you can still tell it's there. I can imagine a good body shop could make it look like it never happened for not too much, i just haven't had the time to go yet. Just take a look at the pics and judge it yourself.
The rest of the car is basically flawless. Interior is great, not much wear at all, just your typical driver's side wear. The dash and panels look great.
These pics were done quickly, car hasn't been washed in about two weeks and the engine bay is really dirty.

KBB says 11000 for excellent, 10000 for good and 9,000 for fair. Seeing as how I have the minor body damage, I'll say its fair ( the rest of the car rated as "good").

Thanks, I'm not really sure why I can't generate some interest. I'm practically trying to give this thing away, not even any offers, or people wanting to come look at it. Maybe I should try somewhere besides LS1tech. It's just that I've sold my past three f-bodies on this website, and I like keeping my cars to people who car about f bodies!
