Black 99 Camaro Z28-LOTS of mods w/receipts Well, unfortunatly I am forced to sell my 99 Camaro Z28. I have to choose between keeping the car, or continuing to go to college. So the car has to go. The car is in BEAUTIFUL shape, nothing more then the normal tiny little scratches that come with driving any car. The car is loaded, here is some more info:
1999 Chevy Camaro
5.7 L 346ci LS1, with a 6-speed T-56 transmission. Fully loaded with power locks, power windows, black leather seats, T-TOPS and everything else possible.
The transmission was replaced by the dealership right before I purchased the car over a ago, and now only has about 10,000 miles on it-And I have dated receipts to prove it. Since i bought the car I have done a ton of things to it.
The car has just over 80,000 miles on it, but the top end of the motor was completely rebuilt with the cam swap-And I have receipts for EVERYTHING, as well as the cam card with the exact specs of the cam. Now for the mod list:
Motor/Engine:
1.Thunder Racing TR230/224 .575/.563 on a 111 lsa
2.Comp Cams 918 valvesprings
3.Ported and blueprinted LS6 oil pump
4.LS2 Timing Chain
5.Thunder Racing hardened pushrods(7.400)
6.Lightweight Titanium retainers and locks
Intake/Exhaust:
1.SLP lid
2.Thunder Racing ported throttle body
3.Pacesetter Long tube headers w/all the egr and a.i.r. hook-ups
4.Custom made true-dual X-pipe w/ dynomax bullet muffles-. It sounds simply AMAZING, and gets rid of the nasty rasp and drone you get with a y-pipe set-up.
Transmission/rear-end/Suspension:
1.LS7 clutch - able to handle over 500wtq
2.LS2 flywheel
3.Brand new slave and master cylinder
4.Pro 5.0 shifter, with Lou's short stick
5.Motive 4.10's in the rear-end
6.UMI adjustable lower control arms
7.UMI adjustable panhard bar
Exterior/Visual:
1. American Racing Torque Thurst II rims 17x9.5 all the way around
2. Sumitomo tires 275/40/17 all around
3. Custom HALO style headlights
4. Clear corner side markers.
5. Black carbon fiber nose emblem
Tuning:
The car was professionally dyno-tuned for the cam by Brett at F-body Central in Maryland. The car made 350whp and 355wtq on a MUSTANG dyno after the tune. I then had it dynoed on a dyno jet a couple weeks later and it made 386whp and 391wtq. At the time I only had mid-length headers, and just a crappy cat-back. So now with the long tubes, and true dual exhaust it should be around 400whp. Unforunatley i never made it to the track. But with the cam it's easily capable of mid to high 11's with some good tires.
All mods have less then 8,000 miles on them. The car sounds amazing with the true dual exhaust and nice lopey cam. Even with the cam, the car retains STOCK-like driving manners, with TONS of torque throughout the power-band. Its perfect for a daily driver, and still gets pretty decent gas-milage. I used it as my daily driver, and loved getting looks and compliments everywhere i went.
I think thats it, there might be a few things Im forgetting. Again I have receipts for ALL the parts listed above. The car was completely stock when i bought it, so every has been bought and paid for by me. A few other notes on the car are:
1. Rear-end whines just a little from the 4.10s. I set them up so they would be stronger, and hold more power, rather then set them up for comfort.
2. All the gaskets including: waterpump, headers, front timing cover,valve cover, and many more were ALL replaced during the cam swap.
3. In one of the pictures you can see my old nitrous kit. The car was sprayed with a 75 shot for maybe 2 bottles before the cam. I have NEVER sprayed it since putting the cam in.
I have over $9,000 in receipts for the car NOT including the other $3,000 for the new trans before i bought it. I originally paid $12,000 for the car, and would like to get atLEAST that back. So I am asking $11000 OBO But I am a little negotiable on the price.
