2000 Z28 A4 - 245,000 Miles - Black
It's been my daily driver since 99. The tranny started to slip going up a grade last month in 4th gear, not excessively, but enough that I didn't want to depend on it anymore and I parked it when I got home. I've driven around town 2 or 3 times since just to keep it fresh, it doesn't slip around town. Was gonna make it a project but don't have the time or money anymore. I've owned it since day one. Still fast as hell.
Here's my recent post from the dragstrip back in march. I ran it again in June with the same results. It has a Borla cat back, k&n, intake box, slp MAF and a fast toys ram air. That's about it. The driver seat is broken the rest of the seats are near mint (I drove alone most of the time).
Ok, so I went to the track last night. I used to race the car back in the day and the best time ever was a 13.8 at 104 MPH with 2.2 60' times. The track is at 3,000 it's LACR.
So my car now has 238,000 miles on it and I ran it again last night.
My best was a 14.3 at 102.5 with the tires spinning like crazy through first and the beginning of second. I have some old Kuhmos on there now that are just about bald with at least 50,000 miles on them. The 60' time was a 2.7 I just couldn't hook up for the life of the damn thing. I tried everything, cleaning the tires off, roasting them, and just running em cold. No luck. Also at the top I can't get the car to shift into 3rd in time anymore, the tranny slips too much between 2nd and 3rd (it still has the stock fluid from the factory in it). So the last 100 or so foot before the traps is run on the rev limiter.
I'm impressed, the car has been driven hard, has over 300 passes on it from the first year I owned it, has been hit twice in the back, once causing $7K worth of damage. I've never changed the tranny fluid or the rear end fluid and the motor get's new oil every year or so. The number 8 spark plug is STOCK. Been through 2 sets of shocks. The K&N hasn't been serviced in at least 2 years. About 4 sets of rotors and pads and that's about it. It has a leak on the valve covers and the drivers seat is hammered. But this car has held up fairly well. I'm getting some sticky tires and heading back one more time to see what it can do. I'm shocked that the car still runs as good as it does with that many miles.
I have a few spare things like MAF ends, clear corners, etc.
Open to serious offers.

Nowhere close. There are people floating around this board with 300k + LS1's. I personally seen 223,000 on a 98 2 years ago at a chevy dealer. Dude I seriously give you credit for being a honest seller! I can't believe you have the stock plug on #8

Dayumm she's a real die hard Hoss. I too gotta give you props on ur honesty. Oil change every year or so, and original rear end and tranny fluid, amazing, not too mention been driven hard for two plus years. I bet she'd run a shade better if you were to do a rear diff oil change and tranny flush?
