I've decided to build another car so my 96 is up for sale. I've owned the car since Dec of 98 with 36k miles. Odometer shows 73k miles now.
It's red with graphite leather, power, and t-tops. Here's what it comes with and original cost of said items-
Wet sanded/buffed exterior paint (no orange peel) 300
Engine compartment, undercarriage, rocker panels and wheelhousings stripped to bare metal, etching primer, primer filler and DuPont base/clear. Materials- 650
(and many weeks of labor)
Wolfe 6pt bolt in roll bar powdercoated black- 575
dynamat sound insulation on floorpan- 125
5pt cam lock harness- 140
All hard brake lines stainless steel, and stainless brake hoses- 525
Fuel system- walbro intank pump, aluminum secondary fuel cell with walbro inline pump. 2 -6 feeds 2 -4 returns, Earls pro-lite 350 black braided hose, endura hose ends. I used the seperate fuel system for the staged injection but it could be used for a stand-alone nitrous fuel system as well.- 1000
Rearend- Currie 9in with moser aluminum center section, detroit true-trac, 3.25 gear, 31 spline axles, 3-channel ABS. Housing powdercoated black 3250
Suspension- BMR K-member (LT1 or LS1, whichever you prefer), 1LE upper/lower and rear control arms. Bilstien shocks/eibach springs. Spohn torque arm, spohn adj panhard bar. Swaybars, brackets, spindles and many other parts were powdercoated black- 1800
Gauges- fuel pressure and boost gauges integrated into dashboard. Switch under dash toggles between primary and secondary fuel system level and pressure. Autometer shift light - 300
Fire suppression system with underhood and passenger compartment nozzles-
700
Electrical- Optima red top, aluminum holdown, master shutoff activated by trunk key, 0 gauge cables- 375
Baer track kit front brakes- 1025
17x9 and 17x11 5 spoke SS wheels with Goodyear GSD3 tires- 1500
Comes with cooling system, A/C system, PS system as well.
Parts Total- $12,265
Price for the car is $8,500 with all the parts.
Pictures of the car are here- http://www.ls1speed.com/intmd8.cfm
Everything on the car is show quality, just add your engine/trans.
Again, to clarify this is for the rolling chassis. No engine/trans included.

i would take it, but 8K for that car with no motor or anything is just way to much. You're gonna loose a lot on that car since the origanal motor and trans is gone. I know its an SS and its in great shape, but it's not running.

Damn Jim, It's sad to see the car leave your hands. I was waiting to see that 1300hp LSX motor in the car. I guess we all have to move on some day, it's just sad at first. Good luck with your next project. I know it will be sick as hell.

You have no idea how clean this car is. I have followed this car for years. Every detail has been covered. Just have a look at the pics of this car. You WILL NEVER find one as clean and done right as this one.

Thanks for the kind words.
It is expensive as far as rollers are concerned but when you consider the parts included and the overall quality of the vehicle, in this case you definitely get what you pay for.

That car is ridiculously clean, worth every cent. Most rollers are rollers for a reason because they are to trashed out to be any thing nice again sans a full out restoration, thus why most rollers go for so cheap. This car isn't your typical roller. Put a motor and trans in this car and you probably have the cleanest 96 SS, period. Perfect for a high horse power build, why he is selling it, I dunno. I'll just jump on the "your crazy Jim" band wagon. It was so perfect with the 357 twin turbo set up, bet it could have caught some serious cash at a high end auction.

Thanks. I probably would have been better off selling it complete with the TT LT1, but it didn't end up working out that way.
I intended to put my TT 427 LSX motor into this car but have since decided I could make better use of that power on the street with an AWD GMC Typhoon chassis.
