I didn't go for all out peak power with the engine, it has a pretty mild cam for a 383. If you will look at the dyno graph you can see the torque curve is real smooth, it doesn't jump around and has a lot of power under the curve. There is no weak spot in the power band, high or low. I also wanted to keep it fairly street friendly, that's why I went with that cam.
