Default '99 Formula Firehawk, MODDED $14.5k

56k beware, BIG PICS!!!!!!!

Posed this up awhile back here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...855&highlight=

Got real close to what I was after, but never ended up doing the deal. I had decided to keep it, but the car has pretty much sat ever since as I do not have the time for it.

Here it goes...

1999 Pontiac Formula Firehawk

118,000 Miles on body, under 3,000 miles on Engine, Transmission, Rear End, and Suspension.

Car is presentable and cleans up well, but no show car, its in typical shape of most 100k+ mile f-bods. No big flaws other than the pass mirror needs to be replaced. Can’t really tell in pics, but it looks like it was egged and the inside mount is broken so it sags a bit (like that when I bought it). There is also a small 1” or so paint crack in the deck lid spoiler.

Engine:

375” Built for N2O. All necessary machine work, rotating assembly balanced to within .1 g. Mains at .0022”, rods at .002.

• 3.5”-3” smooth Venturi reducers into a custom set of 304 SS 3” true duals with an X-pipe. Dynomax bullet mufflers w/ turndowns.

Fuel System:

Racetronix 42lb. Injectors
Racetronix in-tank Walboro pump kit w/ hotwire upgrade
This car is tuned with HP Tuners in conjunction with a wide-band O2 and runs an “Enhanced” 1-bar speed-density (MAF-less) operating system.

Raptor shift light

Car was making 470 RWHP/430 RWTQ SAE at 10.8:1. The heads on it are about 65 cc's as they were originally on a 408 I had, so they need to milled down for the combo as it sits. I had just wanted to get on the road originally and they were assembled and ready to go so I threw them on temporarily, but the car ran great so I left them on. With 11.5 + compression this thing would probably pick up another 10-15 tq and at least as much hp.

Like I said above, the car has been sitting for months. I actually started tearing into it awhile back to swap to the other top end setup, but most everything is still in the car. Now that it has set apart for so long, I will more than likely go back into it and freshen up the motor (rings and springs) if I get a serious buyer. This way I can leave it loose for juice or tighten it up for N/A as desired. I can also mill the heads about .030”, revise the valvetrain setup and re-dyno the car if you want.

I also have a completely different head/cam/intake setup available consisting of a set of heavily worked L92's with Ti valves, L76 intake, and custom ground 230's duration cam. This is a really wild setup that would more than likely break 510 RWHP on this motor and only be limited by the intake at that point.

For starters, I'll offer up the car with the LS6 head/FAST 90 combo that's on it (with the motor freshened up) for $14,500 and take a deposit to do the work. But, I'm willing to tweak or change whatever and adjust the price accordingly...I've got ton$ invested in the L92 top end setup mentioned above so that's an option for anyone interested as well.

Pictures depict the car with some Bogarts I had, but it now has the stock chrome Firehawk wheels. Otherwise, the pics are accurate.

Yes, It's heavy! Still has A/C and factory sound... Nothing removed except rear seats.

Man I wish I had some vids...Like I said the car is down now or I would go make some. Unfortunately I don't have any time to mess with it unless a serious buyer can come up with a deposit.

What happened to the bogarts, still got them?? I'd be tempted to part with my H.O. car for this one.

They belonged to a friend of mine, but he didn't own an F-body for the longest time and wanted to sell them. I ran them for street tires on the Firehawk for awhile and I would have originally sold them with the car only to give the money to him...but he recently bought an SS and decided to keep them to put them on that.
