850RWHP Speed Inc Built HOSS Eliminator GMHTP Cover Car! 38k Miles!
I've made the decision to pull the car temporarily off the market to have the water problem fixed. I wouldn't feel right about buying a car with a headgasket issue and I'd rather not sell one that way. When and if I re-list; the car will be cherry. There's also the possibility of a price adjustment.
Thank you all very much for your time and interest. Stay tuned!
Let me start by saying how much of a monster this car is...
I purchased this car from a friend about a year ago and put less than a thousand miles on it.
It's currently sitting at 38.7k miles!
This car was built less than 2k miles ago; which makes all the go-fast parts practically new.
Built completely by Speed Inc no expense spared.
This beautiful HOSS made its debut on the cover of GM High-Tech Performance in 2005 after Speed Inc finished the build.

As you can see from the build sheet, this car has had some serious money put into it.
The car currently runs and drives. I just got back in from cruising around a little bit, actually. One problem Ryan, "the previous owner," and I have had trouble with is blowing a little water under boost. Speed Inc saw fit to put copper O-Ring in the heads but not cut grooves in the block. This problem could be rectified by having the ring machined out of the heads with minimal deck loss. It's just something I don't have the time to do and is one of the reasons I'm selling this beautiful, very rare ride.
I'm asking 20k!
I'd like to see this car built for twice that...
Title in hand folks!
There's a possibility I'd be interested in trades as well. Let me know what you've got.

Is this car very reliable or do you constantly have to tweak things?
could you drive this car 1200 miles home with no problems?
Also with the water getting through on boost how bad is that affecting the power and the health of the motor?

I've never had to tweak anything on it in the year I've owned it. I went through everything when I first purchased it to see what kind of shape it was in. Other than that it's been sitting in the garage waiting for the occasional Sunday cruise.
I wouldn't suggest driving it long distances until you got a good deck seal. I'm not saying it wouldn't make it. I'm just saying I wouldn't.
