you better check over that car again. it dont have half the stuff you say it does! it dont have forged pistons, has stock valve springs, stock lower control arms and it has belltech lowering springs. did run decent when it had holley stealth ram on it was running 7.5 in the 1/8 now it barely touches the 8's

seeing as i just rebuilt the motor, I know what pistons are in it. i just added new torque arm and lower control arms as well as a panard rod, replaced the valve springs retainers and locks when i had the heads off. and i ran a 7.96 in the car at lagrange after the motor was freshened up. so if you don't have any thing to add to the thread in a positive manner i suggest staying out of them. but thanks anyway for the information. the car was not what i thought it was when i bought it but luckily i didn't have much in the truck i traded for it. so i have been able to put some good money into getting it right.

oh ok. did all that in a month and are using the same engine picture. kinda weird ...changing valve springs using the same cam. but good luck with it bud. i got screwed on a engine i bought from a guy and just trying to keep it real..did it have any screwed up pistons? cause i know at one time there was a chunk of piston jamed in the gap on one of the spark plugs, and he kept telling everyone it has forged pistons as well...and i will put my opinion on any thread i feel i need to.

well after buying the car i immediately to it to the strip and realized something was missing. i pulled the driver's side head and all the pistons looked good, but were not forged. it took me a couple hours to have the motor out and a couple more for disassemble. cylinder walls looked good, just needed to be honed. installed new pistons, rings and rod bearings. also the cam showed wear so new lifters and a cam was installed. this was all within 2 weeks. i put the new suspension on it last weekend. i appreciate the input but is was not in a mature manner.
