Default 1972 Chevelle SS 454 - For Sale or Trade

The time has come where I realized I'm never going to get restore this car the way I want, I've put it off and put it off and it's just not going to happen. So, I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone is interested in it.

1972 SS 454 Chevelle, I dunno if it's a 'true' SS or not, never ran the VIN - PM me and I'll send it to you and you can research it yourself. It IS a big block, pretty much as stock as it comes from what I can tell. It's got rally wheels, red paint thats faded and some rust spots. Itt runs and drives, starts right up, hasnt been driven more than 5 miles in about 5 years. It has a transmission leak, a rear seal I believe. I'd say I've had the car for about 6 years, it was in th garage for the first 4 years but had to make room for my 69 Camaro so it's been outside for two years. If any more info is needed feel free to ask - it's not a show car, its' rough - but what project car is perfect? I know I got to offer up a price, but I'm interested in just about anything - Cars, trucks, SUVs (mostly SUVs) - Cash is good too.

$15,000
located in Ashland ky

Honestly are you looking to sell this? For $15,000??
Or is that a misprint on the price? $5,000 I could see someone maybe interested. ....maybe.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, wouldnt you agree?

Thats beside the point, I had a guy show up this week with $9k in hand and I sent him away because I hadnt made my mind up yet, he's been hounding me for years to buy it. I figure if he's that eager for the car at $9k i better start higher and work my way down.

Thanks for the free bump, but leave the negativity out of it, if your interested PM me, otherwise see ya later.

good luck with the sale. I would have taken 9k and run unless you magically come up with documents proving it to be an SS

magically? - I do have a title for the car, if the vin says its an SS then it is, no magic about it, i've just never researched it.

Then look at the VIN number to see if there's a W so we can end this debate?

Vin = 1d37h2k631654 decoded:
1= Chevrolet
D= Malibu
37= 2 door sport coupe
H= 350 2brl L65 engine
2= 1972
K= Kansas City, Missouri

So, it is a 1972 car, built by Chevrolet, Malibu trim (which could be a SS) it was a 350 2 barrel SS (it does have the correct dash for 72 by your pics) and was built in Kansas City.

I'd make you an offer for it, but it would be less than the $9000 you turned down, so here's a bump for ya.
