I've got 2 third gen Camaros for sale... an 1985 Z28 and 89 RS V8. I'm really looking to get another LS1 f-body. If you got to my fquick.com link in my sig. it has both car's pics with my 2002. MONTE CARLO SS IS SOLD....
The 85 Z28 would run constant 11.1s on pumped 93. it has 3:73 gears w/ none limited slip posi. the top end has the best. brodix track 1 alum. heads and have 2.08 and 1.60 valves, edle. rpm air gap series port matched to the heads. the radiator is a griffen 3 or 4 rows (can't remember) and w/ a 160 t-stat the car never went over 200 degrees in rush hour traffic in the summers. bottom end needs to be redone again or if you have a short block of your own..
for suspension.. it has an AJE tub. k-member, UMI LCA and panhard bar. the sub-frame connectors(t-tops) are homemade. for shocks, it has the kyb adj. AGX all around. tranny and rear are were build very STRONG. they've outlasted the motor twice already and the car has an est. of 520rwhp.
i've got another toy and also have a daily driver that i want to upgrade. I have a ton invested in this car and am just tried of it.
I don't have a set price for the car, but would consider reasonable offers and trades. I've got a running 305 with 350 iron heads i got from my buddys junkyard that i started building for a cheap HP motor. i put new main and rod bearings in and am redoing the valve train 100% and putting a hydr. cam with a .525ish lift. the crank wasn't scored much, so i stuck with standard sized rod bearings. Running with the fresh 305, $6K obo. car is allmost ready for new paint. Almost all primed with flat black.
For the 89 RS. It's a t-top car with power options. An older CD unit in the dash. It has 160K miles on it. I just had the tranny rebuild by A-Tex which is a very good and reputible place. They used a Reybestos master rebuild kit. It has the 10 vain pump upgrade and corvette servos. The said it'll support 400HP. They give a 12 month, unlimited mile warrenty. The motor runs strong. I've had the car for a year now and always used castrol synthetic blend oil with fram extra guard oil filter. I recently have added an edlebrock alum. water pump b/c it's FL and summer and it's my daily driver. I also added a JEGs TBI spacer. It already had an no name aftermarket 2inch exhaust. The car has a/c but blows out hot and i don't know anything about a/c so off goes the t-tops when it's not raining. Not an A/C guy, so it could be a cheap fix? I'll probably take it to a place that does a free A/C check. The car also has 15x8 A.R. tourque thrusts wheels in chrome, but are a little rough looking, but not bad. I'm asking $2K obo. Will go cheaper if i switch the A.R. wheels with the stock 15x7 alum. from my other camaro.
REMEMBER TO CHECK OUT THE LINK IN MY SIGNATURE TO LOOK AT THE 2 CAMAROS AND PICS OF THE MONTE SS WILL BE UP SOON. THANKS
