1998 S10 LT1/ Th400 Custom EFI NO OPTI! 17" TTIIs 1998 S10
-70k mile LT1
- Holley Commander 950 programmable fuel injection ($1500)
- Rear mount distributor, NO OPTI!!!
- Lightly Ported LT1 castings/ Comp 305 cam/springs
- Sanderson coated headers
- Aeromotive regulator/ 6an lines
- Never been to the strip with this setup but ran 12.4 with stock LT1 wiring and OPTI, never been WOT tuned with wideband, still on a pretty rich safe WOT now
-TH400 trans
- Full Manual Coan Trans
- Deep Cast pan w/ drain
- Cooler with 6AN braided lines
- 3800 Stall TCI converter
- B&M Pro Ratchet shifter
- 10 bolt rear
- Zexel? Posi
- 4.10 gears
- Girdle
- Ladder bar/ coilover brackets welded on from another truck
- Interior
- Stock in good shape- 60/40 bench
- All Autometer Ultra Lite gauges
- CD player stereo is OKAY
- Exterior
- Steel cowl hood.
- Soft bed cover in alright shape
- White/ orange stripes - paint is 5/10
- Bed is carpeted, battery is in rear.
A little history on the truck here. I originally built it back in 2001, so it's no new conversion, the bugs have been worked out LONG ago. When I first put it together it was mainly a street strip deal. I sprayed the first (and second) LT1 and ran a best of 11.11 on spray and 12.4x on motor (on street 235 goodyears!) Eventually the truck got repainted and currently is on its 3rd LT1, this one was NEVER sprayed on. It did have a 6 speed in it a while back but when it broke the race TH400 was put back in. It could be a 6 speed very easily again, the clutch line is still hanging there and the crossmember is ready. It could still be a great street-strip truck and with some cleanup can still hold its own at a car cruise in. As it sits right now it kinda sucks to drive anywhere outside of town with the current gearing/ converter. I may end up digging up a 6-speed and put it back in if it doesn't sell like this. I put it on ebay a few years ago and it got legit bids to 7500 with the 6 speed, and that was on some drag-lites, not the much nicer 17's.
The few things the truck would need are:
-- Still has the stock fuel pump, this is what killed the other engines on spray. A fuel cell and the rest of the fuel system increased would be excellent on this truck.
-- It rides rough with the leafs/ traction bars, but hooks okay. The rear has ladder bar brackets already on it, someone could bolt Comp Engineering ladder bars on, weld in the front crossmember and coilovers and it would be an awesome setup.
-- The speedometer doesn't work with the TH400 cause it doesn have a speed sensor, this could be fixed, or if you go back to 6 speed it will plug right in.
-- The truck was originally built to be on big and little wheels and does NOT have power steering. It has a manual box and takes a little grunt to steer with the big wheels at slow speeds. This could always be changed.
-- The windshield is cracked, a new one that is almost perfect comes with the truck.
-- The stance is off, if you are staying auto, you can lower the front a bit, if its going stick the rear has to go back up to keep the driveline angles right
-- The heater is not hooked up and obviously there is no air. The heat seems to keep it extra warm in the truck in the summer so we took the hoses off, probably not a truck to drive in the winter anyway.
The price on the truck is $6500 as it is pictured, no offers, that is the price.
The only way is gets cheaper is $5800 on stock C5 corvette 17"/ 18" wheels with bald rear tires and billet adapters, which it still looks nice on
--or--
$5500 on steel wheels to get it home on if you want to go back to big and littles.
